I woke up Keith hugging my chest very tight... like if he is having a bad dream of something. I slowly replaced myself as a pillow. I slowly walked out of Keith's room. I slowly about to walk into the bathroom until I saw Kathy crying in the dining room. I slowly walk into the dining room.

  "I know it's none of my business, but you are my boyfriend's mother.. are you okay?" I softly asked her. Kathy got scared and lift her face from her hands. She has the same crying face as Keith..

  "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Kathy quickly wiped her tears like it's nothing.

  "There's no reason to say sorry, Kathy."

  "You won't understand, you're so young and have so much ahead of you." Kathy faked a smile. I could tell because it's different from her real smile.

  "I will understand, I deal with my older siblings' problems, plus I won't judge anyone." I smiled and sat down in front of Kathy.

  "You should?"

  "Yes, of course." I smiled.

  "Okay, but please do not tell Kat— Keith."
I nodded.

Shit. I don't want to hide any secrets from Keith! A healthy relationship should never have secrets or fights!

  "Okay, it's going be long."

  "I have a lot of time."

  "Okay. Ever since Kat— Keith came out to me as gay & transgender. It's hard. Now, s— he looks like his father. Every time, I look at Keith. I see him. Keith has his eyes and..." Kathy started to cry.

  "Cry, Kathy. It will be easier for you to cry." I smiled.

  "Keith has his eyes and nose. Keith is becoming more like him now. I feel like I'm losing my kid." Kathy took a deep breath and continued to cried.

"Kathy. You will never lose Keith. He will stay as him as well he will live. Keith knows better and he loves you too death." I tried to comfort Kathy.

"Does he?"

  "He does. He talks to me about how much he loves you and he appreciate how much you do for him." I see Kathy's face lit up.

  "Keith really loves you and trusts you. When he grew up, he always hide everything from me. Some days, he wouldn't even talk to me or even eat. Please take care of him." Kathy ran over to me and hugged me tight.

  "I will." I hugged her back.

  "Good. Now, shouldn't you take care of your boyfriend before he start to do something serious?" Kathy let's go of me.

I froze in shock. Kathy.. knows that Keith was cutting!

  "Wha-what! You know?"

  "Yes, I knew. I was cleaning Keith's room while you and him was asleep. I saw Keith's arm with his bandages. I knew what's going on." Kathy nodded.

  "Okay. I thought we had to hid it from you." I chuckled.

  "Yeah, yeah. I'm used to it from now." Kathy walks back to the table.

  "Anymore to tell me?" I asked Kathy.

  "Nothing much. And thank you for listening to me." Kathy smiled and started to go on her laptop.

  "No problem and thank you for talking to me." I nodded and walked into the bathroom.

I took my shower, brushed my hair and teeth and whatever. I walked back to Keith's room.
  I see that Keith is awake and on his phone.
He is facing the wall and I kissed his head.

  "Good Morning, Kogane."

  "Ah! Morning, McClain!" Keith sits up.

  "So, what are today's plans?"

   "I wanted to look into apartments near our school campus." Keith rests his head on my shoulder.

  "Okay, get ready. We could go, I'm going to tell Kathy then." I stood up.

  "Buttt Lance!! I want to stay in bed!!" Keith whined.

"Let's go or I won't buy you boba." Keith's face lit up and ran into the bathroom.
How to get Keith to do something.

I walked over to Kathy.

  "Kathy! Keith and I are going to check out apartments since we want to live together and get to our campus closer." I asked while putting on my shoes.

  "Oh how nice!" Kathy smiled and went back to her laptop. I smiled while walking to my car.

I turned on the engine and waited for Keith. He ran out with his shoes in one hand and phone in the other.

"I'm sorry!" Keith tried to catch his breath while putting on his seatbelt.

"It's okay, now let's get boba."

"Yay!"

We got boba and drove to the apartments that Keith and I liked. The apartment have two bathroom, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. It's pretty small, but we like it. The rent is only $250 a month and that's not as bad. We said we will think about.

We're getting it soon.
