I jumped out of the car & paid the Uber driver. I came alone. I don't want to see Lance.. Him. I walked inside the lobby and taken to a court room. I sat down left side with a lady aside me. I learned some law things by some videos on YouTube, but shhhhh!
  'Him' didn't come yet.

"Hello, I am the person will convince the Judge about your father." The woman stood up and puts her hand out. I stood up and shook her hand. We sat back down and waited. The Jury is already looking at me strange. Oh shit.

Blam!

We all turn around see.. Him. He is with two police officers. They lead him to sit the table aside me. Why next to me! WHY!

"Kate! KATHERINE!" 'Him' spotted me and tried to come close to me. I stayed silent with shock.

"You are not allow to go near him!" The judge yells. 'Him' sat back down onto the seat. It begins.

"This court case is the death of Kathy Gyeong. We have her son, Keith, here to defend Kathy. We have the murder, Keller, here to defend himself." The judge speaks.
After some boring stuff, it's my turn to go up there and speak. I nervously walk up and take the seat.

"Uh-Uh.. Hello, I am Keith. I'm Kathy's son. Keller.. is my father. Keller left Kathy & I 14 years ago with barely anything. We tried to contact him, but couldn't. Kathy raised me all by herself and she is a strong independent woman." I softly spoke in the microphone. I look back to 'Him'. He looks disappointed of me. Who cares? He's not important to me.

"Anything more information?" The judge asks me.

"Uhh.. Kathy always never want to talk about Keller. All she said was, 'He is someone, I never actually know.' She always took me places that made me happy even we were poor. It's amazing to look back." I tried to not tear up.

"Thank you, Keith. Please go back to your seat." I nervously walk back and tried to ignore all of the tightness in my chest.

"Keller, you have a colorful record. You been known to having possession of drugs, stolen two cars in different states & now second degree murder. Any information?" The judge looks up from papers.

"Judge! I-I just.. I just.. uhh.."

"Don't have any excuses because you used them all? Not this time, sir."

"But-but! Keller been through rehab houses!" The lawyer who is helping 'Him'.

"Yes, I know, but it showed that never worked on him. He murdered someone and put someone in a coma." Judge yells back. I stayed in silent. Feeling the judgement..

Wow! You are a daughter of a murder? You are a daughter of a dead suicidal woman? You are the daughter who killed her mother.
Son? Keith? All I see is Kate.
You could have stopped all of this. You should have saved your mother, but stopping your father shooting her. You should have died. You should have. You should be DEAD! YOU ARE POINTLESS! YOUR MOTHER SHOULD BE ALIVE AND FORGETTING THE FACT SHE GAVE BIRTH TO A NO ONE!

I started to shake. My hands started to shake. I feel everything. I feel every mistake of me.

"Jury, take your leave and think." The jury left the room. We had to wait and I couldn't face Lance. After about 20 minutes, they finally came back. They handed the judge a piece of paper.
