Alec shuffled his feet nervously and shoved the bouquet of roses into Magnus's face. Magnus would have laughed if not for being so moved by the nervous gesture. He pulled his face back and took the flowers from Alec.
"Wow, thank you. You didn't have to." Magnus smiled at him.
"Oh, sorry. Is it too much?" Alec asked and reached out as if to take the roses back.
"No." Magnus took his hand. "I love them."
"Good." Alec nodded his head stiffly.
"Relax, Alexander, I'm not expecting anything life changing from this. It's just a date. Let's have fun and get to know each other."Magnus cupped Alec's face. "You look ravishing."
"Thanks, my sister picked out the clothes." Alec tugged on his green shirt. It was the only color besides grey and black that he owned. "You look great."
"I know." Magnus smiled and pulled back to do a little twirl. "I thought you'd appreciate a more subtle look."
Alec watched the sparkling of the sequins on Magnus's black shirt then moved his gaze down to his bright red skinny jeans. They definitely showed off Magnus's ass-ets.
"Come on in." Magnus opened the door more and started towards the kitchen so he could put the roses in a vase.
"I couldn't find a chariot," Alec said out of the blue.
"That's fine, darling." Magnus brushed him off as he reached into the cupboard for a vase. "All I care about is being here with you. So, where do you want to eat?"
"Shit." Alec muttered more to himself than Magnus. "I forgot about that part."
Magnus laughed and instead of being embarrassed Alec smiled. How was it possible to have such a beautiful yet manly laugh?
"You are perfect." Magnus chuckled and put the roses in the vase. "I know a place."
"Okay."Alec felt more comfortable. "You do still owe me that pizza."
"Right you are." Magnus spun and opened the fridge. "Let's try this again."
He piled the ingredients on the counter and just as Alec reached for a knife he snatched it away. "And no touching for you." Magnus sang.
"I'm really not that bad." Alec said as he stepped back and bumped into the sink behind him.
"Sure, darling. Whatever you say." Magnus moved like he was dancing, so graceful and never wasting a movement.
"Take a seat and tell me about yourself as I cook you an amazing meal." Magnus pulled out a stool and pushed Alec onto it.
"Um, I'm Alec?" Alec shrugged.
"Yeah, I got that." Magnus rolled his eyes. Alec was too cute. "How about what are you going to school for?"
"Oh, right. Business." Alec said.
"Thrilling." Magnus said sarcastically. "I'm going to be a surgeon. I like working with my hands and I'm good at it."
"What kind?" Alec asked.
"I haven't quite decided yet, but for now I work as a nurse in the child ward of the hospital. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would. Kids are just so fun to work with and sure it's really sad but at the same time, it's so rewarding. You know?" Magnus asked pointing the knife at Alec who was tearing up. "Ah, you don't have to cry. I'm really happy."
"It's the onions," Alec said and glared at the white things burning his eyes. "I think I'm going to die."
"Oh," Magnus chuckled. "Sure, we both know you're just emotional."
"Yes, I cry so easily." Alec laughed. "If I saw a puppy right now I'd be on the floor sobbing."
"You'd probably be on the floor either way, but that's just because you're clumsy." Magnus teased and tossed all of the veggies in a pot to make the pizza sauce. He got out a pizza crust and tossed it in the oven.
"Probably true." Alec smiled.
"We have a couple of minutes while those heat up." Magnus said with a sparkle in his eye. "How about we go pick out a movie?"
"Sure." Alec stood up and followed Magnus to the family room.
"Go ahead and take a seat." Magnus motioned to the couch. Alec did as he was told and Magnus got the remote before curling up next to Alec on the couch. He placed his arm behind Alec and leaned closer. He turned on the TV and went to Netflix.
"Anything in mind?" Alec asked in a deep voice. They were so close. He could simply turn his head and kiss Magnus. What if he did?
"You." Magnus smiled down at him and Alec turned slightly.
"I've never heard of that movie. Is it good?" Alec asked honestly.
"Very good." Magnus purred.
"Sure. I'm up for anything." Alec shrugged feeling a sudden tension. Was there more to what Magnus was saying?
"Are you now?" Magnus touched Alec's chest and leaned forward. He kissed him slowly almost lazily giving Alec time to register what was happening. Alec turned more to face him and gently pushed Magnus back until he was lying back on the couch. Alec pulled Magnus's shirt up and Magnus lifted his body so they could pull it off. Alec kissed his throat and across his collarbone as Magnus ran his hands up and down Alec's back.
Beep!
They jumped from the alarm and Alec fell off the couch with a yelp.
"See what I mean about you ending up on the ground?" Magnus teased and got up before helping Alec to his feet.
"I may be clumsy but I did manage to get you out of your shirt without harming anyone." Alec winked.
"Look at Alexander, finally joining the flirting game." Magnus patted his arm and slid his hand down to take Alec's. "Let's finish that pizza and then we can have some more fun."
A/N Hope you liked it! Awe! And now I want pizza and my own Magnus or Alec or both who knows. Just a reminder I may or may not be updating for a couple of days because of my vacation. And the Prank War Contest ends on Aug 1st.
