"We are gathered here to remember a man who was selfless and kind. He did everything he could to help everyone in his path. Sure, he didn't love being surrounded by people but he was there when you needed him." Magnus wiped a tear away with his gold handkerchief and glanced at the body inside the coffin.
"Alexander was the best friend I've ever had. He was the first someone in my life to accept me for who I was. I still remember the day he came to thank me for saving his life. No one had done that before, especially a Shadowhunter. But there he was, in my apartment, thanking me." Magnus looked over at Max who was fully grown by now and Rafe who was sitting with his wife and 3 children and their children.
He had had 6 decades with his family before he lost Alec. He was surprised that he could still stand without him. It had taken a full day for him to even accept the truth, Alexander was gone. The love of his life had finally left him.
"Alexander was an amazing father, husband, and grandfather. His only flaw was that he cared too much." Magnus wiped at his tears again.
"Magnus, what the hell is going on?" Alec demanded as he stormed into the study to see his own body in a coffin and Magnus crying.
Magnus blushed. "I'm practicing just in case."
Magnus burst into tears. "I can't do it though."
Alec rushed to him and wrapped his arms around his husband. He squeezed him tightly. "Magnus we fixed that little problem, remember?"
"Yes, but just because you're immortal now doesn't mean something can't happen." Magnus cried against his chest.
"Magnus there aren't any garrenties in life except that no matter what, I will always be here with you. You will never be able to get rid of me." Alec pulled back and cupped Magnus cheek. He brushed the tears away and looked at him hard. "I promised in our vows to love you forever and I intend to keep it."
"I do to." Magnus smiled and kissed Alec. "I love you."
"I love you too." Alec said then glanced at the coffin again. "But did you really have to put me in a purple and gold suit? Seeing it makes me want to die."
"Hey!" Magnus exclaimed. "If you die I need a way to punish you and that seems like a good way."
"But I'm not dead!" Alec threw his hands up in the air.
"Yes but it feels great to deal with those emotions. Don't worry, we can do me next."
"I'd love to do you." Alec winked.
Magnus's jaw dropped. "I meant my funeral..."
"I didn't."
"I suppose the funeral could wait," Magnus smiled at Alec.
A/N Did I get you?
I'm so sorry about not updating. I am in the middle of moving into my new place and my computer's plug stopped working so the next parts that I have on there I can't get to yet. It's been kind of hectic. Hope this makes up for it a bit. Thanks for reading, voting, and commenting!
