"Mummy."

I could hear the faint whispers calling for me.

I stirred for a couple seconds, rocking from side to side, trying to bring myself to open my eyes.

"Mummy." My sweet whispered again.

"What's wrong, baby?" I groaned, pulling him into a hug.

His giggle was released as I squished his small frame into mine.

"Daddy's snoring too loud." He answered, playing with the neck of my top.

Having slept next to Simon for years, I suppose I had become oblivious to his snores.

"He is?" I frowned, combing my fingers through his hair.

"Can you ask him to stop?" He questioned, pouting up at me.

I laughed softly, "I'd have to wake him up to do that."

"I don't mind." He shrugged, a smile tugging at his lips.

Like father like son.

"You're such a cheeky monkey." I grinned, kissing his head.

All of a sudden, Simon's snores came to a halt.

"You hear that?" I questioned, "Do you think you can get back to sleep now?" I smiled gently, looking down at him.

"I mean, I can try." He shrugged, laying his head back onto my chest.

The abrupt sound of ringing had jolted me out of my slumber.

As my eyes scanned for the source, I came to realise that it was my phone, which just so happened to be on the nightstand beside Simon.

Unfortunately for me, my arm was wedged underneath Angelo, meaning I was stuck.

Not wanting either of the two to wake up, I, much to my own disapproval, slowly leaned across Simon. Legs on either of his waist, straddling him in other words.

Just as I reached for the phone, it stopped instantly and I felt a hand grasp my wrist.

I hesitantly looked down, only to be met with the eyes of my ex-husband.

"Oh, how I missed waking up to this." He grinned, his hands moving to hold my waist.

"Don't get your hopes up," I said, rolling my eyes, "I got a call."

As I returned back to my previous state, on the other side of the bed and keeping to myself, Angelo instantly moved closer to me again.

"He really is a mummy's boy." Simon said, a smile playing on his lips.

"Yeah..." I said trailing off, drawing circles on Angelo's bare arm with my thumb, "You were snoring last night." I decided to say.

"I snore every night." He chuckled, "Did I wake you?"

"No, not me. It was this one. He then decided to wake me up." I smirked.

"I deeply apologise." He laughed.

I frowned, looking at the caller ID from who had just phoned.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Simon asked.

"What?" I asked, coming back to reality, "Oh, no. It's just Laura. She's never up this early."
