I stared at him before chuckling softly.

"Funny. Really funny, Simon."

"I'm serious Adele." He said with a straight face.

"You can't be. We both signed the papers Simon." My hands were sweating.

"That means nothing if they weren't sent." He shrugged.

"And why weren't they sent Simon!" Angelo's small gasp was heard from the back seat.

He never liked when I raised my voice.

"I love you." His voice broke along with my heart.

"You asked for this. The divorce was your idea." The anger was overpowering.

"And it was a stupid idea! Adele, I couldn't last that first night without you." He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face.

"Yet you managed to last four years? I don't understand. Were you ever going to send them?" My voice grew more quiet as I proceeded to talk.

At my last question, he stayed silent.

"Pull over." I said bluntly.

"Ade-"

"No Simon. Not tonight. I'm sick of your excuses and your manipulative ways. You have hurt me over and over again and I'm done. So I'll say this one more time. Pull over the fucking car!" Instantly, Angelo began crying while Simon stopped the car, abruptly.

"It's not safe, Adele." He sighed, turning to see me.

"It's a block. We'll be fine." I snapped before getting out the car, "Come on angel. We're going home." I said gently to Angelo, cradling him in my arms.

"But what about daddy?" He sobbed, his face hiding in my neck.

"Daddy's going to leave." I sighed.

"Leave?" He questioned.

"Adele, I'm not going anywhere." Simon said, suddenly losing his temper.

"Oh no. You don't get to be angry. After what you put me through? You're pathetic! Four years you left me. Four years I thought we were divorced! You broke my heart. You put me through so much hell and here you are four years later telling me it was a lie?" Tears were streaming down my face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered as I walked away, not soaring a single glance.

He took everything from me as if it were nothing and tore me apart.

He doesn't get to be sorry.
