"Weren't you the one begging me to let him back in? Give him a chance?" I practically laughed at Laura.

"I was yeah, but I was expecting you to be a little more guarded." She sighed.

"Laura, I love you so much but, you send some of the biggest mixed signals." I huffed, sitting down on the couch.

"Babe, I wanted you to let him in as part of Angelo's life but, I also want you to know what's best for yourself. I need you to think all this through."

"I appreciate that Laura, I do. I'm so glad that I have you looking out for me but, you can't spend four years telling me to let him in and, as soon as I do, change your mind. Even if I wanted to back out now, it's too late. He's been introduced to Angelo and they've formed a bond. I felt horrible enough preventing him from having one but, to take it away when he's already got it? I can't do that Lau." I frowned.

"Do you love him?" She smiled, sadly.

"You know I do." I sighed.

She nodded, "Then okay."

"Mumma, daddy's at the door!" Angelo's voice yelled.

"Speak if the devil." I mumbled to Laura while standing.

"Quick mummy! The stool isn't here today." He pouted as I reached the front door.

I smiled slightly before opening the door to reveal a grinning Simon.

"Daddy!" Angelo screamed in excitement, throwing himself into Simon arms.

Simon hugged him tightly and then turned to me with that same grin.

"What's the look for?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

He snaked his arm around my waist and gently placed his lips on the corner of mine.

"Can't I be happy to see you?" He asked, his beard tickling my cheek.

"That depends, do you want something?" I smirked, fixing Angelo's hair as he was still on Simon's hip.

"Of course not, love." He frowned at the accusation.

I laughed softly before telling him to come in.

We made our way the the living room, where Laura was sat, and he began talking to me about work.

"Oh, that reminds me. It's my works night out Saturday, do you want to come?" It was just a thought.

I hadn't really participated in my works social gatherings after the small incident that happen two years ago. In fact, I hadn't participated in a conversation with a certain someone after that small incident.

"You wanting to show me off, Adkins?" He smirked, cocking an eyebrow.

"Stop kidding yourself, Konecki." I laughed.

A/N Merry Christmas to those celebrating! This is really bad but it's kinda just a filler.
