Hey! I know what you're thinking: "Two updates in one hour!?"
Well, yes. That's exactly what it is.
Anywho, there's this book idea that's been floating around the sphere that rests on top of my shoulders that I sometimes call my head, but I'm not sure if I should go for it. My two previous books (A Sherlock Fanfiction and the other about the life of a fly) didn't do so well.
Here's my idea:
It's a fictional story about me, a sixteen year old Muslim middle-class Indian boy who lives (and was born) in South Africa. He's also crushing on someone from school.
The story begins when it's the December holidays for him and his family decides to go for a vacation to Durban (a beachy area in South Africa). The family decides to take a plane.
Due to some reason, he gets seated next to a white (no, that isn't racist), Christian girl who is about the same age as him.
He's an introvert and she's an extrovert. And, well, thing's develop while on the plane. They talk about their different lifestyles and such.
The book will contain issues regarding race, religion, culture and different lifestyles. It will express how different human beings can be, even if they are living what is regarded to be close to each other. It's all about human diversity.
It will be semi-humourous but will also contain serious parts. It will also be about growing up as a teenager as well as making decisions at this age.
The majority of the story will take place on the plane.
I'll call it 'The Girl on the Plane'.
Its going to be in third person view.
Soo... Should I try it?
