Meh Blabbering

So, what should I talk about today? Oh yeah, puberty.

Now I'm not going to go all biology-teacher and discuss what it is because I'm guessing you already know. No, I'm going to give you my opinion and experience about it.

When I was about twelve, everyone (adults) used to go on about how badly stuff will change and how emotions will go all hay-wire and how it might be difficult processing etc etc.

I really don't get what the big deal is. I mean, I'm going through it just fine. I don't get why people put so much pressure on me. Maybe, it's different for other people, but mine was a smooth ride.

Okay, it was a bit awkward at times. Mostly at the beginning. But once you get control of it, it isn't really bad. Just go with the flow. That's what I did.

Now I know that it's more difficult for girls than guys (for obvious reasons) to go through this stage. But why do people put so much pressure and stress?

I understand that it is an important time in a person's life, but why make it such a big deal?

When I was twelve, we began learning about it at school.

Okay, fine. That's understandable.

Then we learnt more about it the next year.

Okay... for the late bloomers maybe?

Then, like, all the teacher began to talk to my class about what's going to happen to us. That we mustn't be shy and just accept it blah blah.

This is pushing it too far. Now you might disagree because this is just my opinion.

My whole point is that I don't understand why people put so much pressure on puberty. I believe that children should be educated about it, but shouldn't be made to think it's a bad thing.

Anywho, I'm going to stop blabbering now.
