"What are you doing here?" I smiled.

"I'd like to take you on our first date," Niall walked towards me, holding out the rose, "are you up for it?"

I smiled and bit my lip. "Well it's 8:30, I get off work at 11 so-"

"Great let's go now!" Niall interrupted.

"What? I can't go now. My boss would kill me!"

"Okay. I guess I'll just go home and think about you by myself," Niall winked.

"Actually my boss just left...he doesn't have to know."

A grin spread across Niall's face. "Great, let's go!" he grabbed my wrist and we ran to his car.

Niall backed out of the diner parking lot and sped down the road.

"So, where are we going?" I asked, fiddling with the rose he gave me.

"You'll see. Actually, we're here now." Niall stopped the car in front of a very familiar building. My apartment building.

"Niall, this is where I live."

"I know. Go upstairs," he encouraged.

I hesitantly got out of the car and climbed the stairs to the 4th floor where I lived. As soon as I shut the door behind me there was a quick knock. Behind the door stood Niall with a dozen more roses.

"Please tell me this isn't lame," he laughed.

I accepted the flowers and smiled."No. It isn't. Thank you."

Niall looked at his watch and his eyes widened. "Better get going if we don't want to miss dinner!" he grabbed onto my hand this time and we fled downstairs again.

A short 2 minute drive later we pulled into the parking lot of Ed's diner.

"Niall..."

"You said this wasn't lame!" he whined.

"It's not but did you really need to take me home just to bring me back here?" I laughed.

Niall shrugged. "I just wanted our first date to be proper."

"Such a gentleman," I gushed.

Niall held the door of the diner open for me and we were greeted by Louis.

"Welcome to Ed's diner," he bowed, "let me show you to your seats," Louis motioned for us to follow him.

"Are you even a trained waiter?" I joked.

It wasn't really a joke though. The only thing Louis was trained to do here was dishes. Louis simply chuckled and seated us.

"Your food will be here in a minute," he scurried off.

"So Harry," Niall began, his eyes meeting mine, "are you afraid of heights?"

The question caught me off guard. "Uh, no. Why?"

"Just trying to get to know you better."

"Your meals are here!" Liam announced with Louis trailing behind him, holding large trays of food. "Each specially prepared for you by yours truly."

"Did you set this all up?" I asked Niall.

He shrugged modestly.

"Wow," I gasped, "you're amazing." Amazing seemed to be the only word I ever had to describe Niall.

Louis and Liam placed our plates down infront of us then walked back into the kitchen hand in hand. I was relieved to know they had made up since their fight earlier.
