As Niall pulled me through Fantasyland, I noticed a crowd of people forming near the castle.
"We probably won't be able to see that well from here," Niall said as we stood at the back of the crowd.
"They're fireworks," I chuckled, "they're in the sky."
"Honestly Harry," Niall scoffed playfully, "are you sure you've been to Disneyland before?"
I followed closely behind Niall as he carefully weaved through the groups of people.
"Now would you look at that," Niall said with satisfaction once we made our way to the front of the crowd.
"I uh, still don't understand," I said meekly.
Niall just grinned and held onto my hand.
"You'll see," he whispered moments later.
Soon enough, the chatter of the people around us died down and the park lights dimmed. My eyes widened as the castle illuminated with color and loud music began to play. I noticed Niall out of the corner of my eye who looked rather pleased that he managed to surprise me yet again.
Fireworks began to explode in the air and the sound brought back bittersweet memories. Memories of our first date which I wish had ended differently. If I could go back in time I would change anything just to stop Niall from hurting. I still found it hard to forgive myself for what I had done, even if Niall forgave me a long time ago. Unfortunately, I couldn't end that date differently. But I could make sure this one was the best he ever had.
"Niall I'm in love with you," I spoke gently in his ear before kissing the back of his hand.
Niall kept his eyes glued to the sky but I kept going.
"And I know I say it all the time but I just want you to know you're my everything. I can't imagine my life without you. I can't imagine how this trip would've gone if I didn't have you here to help me. And I'm so, so lucky to have you."
I wasn't too sure if Niall even heard me. He might have been to caught up in his childhood dream. But suddenly, he tore his eyes away from the sky and stared at me with a look of astonishment. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something but instead he carefully grabbed the sides of my face and pulled our lips together. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned forward to deepen the kiss. Once we finally pulled apart, Niall rested his forehead on mine.
"I am so in love with you Harry Styles," he laughed.
We looked around and noticed we were getting some strange looks from little kids who were probably wondering why the boy in the Minnie Mouse ears was kissing another boy. But that didn't matter to me. Nothing else mattered as long as I was with Niall.
The fireworks seemed to end before they really got to start. In a flash the crowd began dispersing in different directions into the park.
"We still have time for one more ride," I wiggled my eyebrows at Niall.
Niall's face lit up and a smirk grew on his face. Once again, I found myself following Niall to a destination unknown.
---
"Really Niall?" I whined as I watched another log dive down into the water, "Splash Mountain? It's past 10:30!"
"Which means it won't be busy," Niall placed a light kiss on my cheek before pulling me into the line.
He was right. We managed to make our way through the line without seeing any people until we reached the loading area where the cast member gave us our numbers. One and two.
