I was checking an email I had received from my mum days before. I guess I was so caught up with my life lately I forgot about her recent move. She had moved into her place in Los Angeles and she told me the neighborhood was very friendly.
I was startled by knocking on my door. I got up and headed for the door. The pace of the knocking sped up so I hurried up to get to the door. I pulled open my door and saw Liam standing in the hall beaming with excitement.
"Harry!" he exclaimed, strolling past me into my apartment.
"Uh, hey Liam," I shut the door behind him.
"Sorry that I just showed up without telling you but I'm just-" he paused and let out a small giggle, "I'm so excited!"
I hadn't had the heart to tell Liam that Louis had other plans for the night. And seeing the way he was bubbling with excitement made it even harder.
"Liam I need to tell you something," I interrupted his giddy laughing.
The grin immediately fell from his face and his eyes filled with worry.
"What?" his shoulders slumped and he walked closer to me.
I didn't answer, already kicking myself for the disappointment I was going to bring to Liam.
"Harry what?" he repeated, louder.
"Oh! Uh, I really think it's going to work," a fake smile spread across my face.
Liam closed his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. "Harry! You had me scared there," he rested a hand on his heart.
"Sorry," I whispered.
"You really think he's going to like it?"
I nodded, avoiding eye contact with him.
He smiled so big his eyes crinkled in the corners. "It's like I can't stop smiling every time I think of him. My face hurts," he laughed.
I had the fake grin stuck on my face as I worried about what would happen later. He would come to the house, waiting to pour his heart out Louis who would be on a date with someone else. Liam was such a kind person I didn't want to see everything fall apart for him.
"I should get going," he brought my attention back to him, "I've got to go visit my parents. I should tell them what's happening right?"
Before I could answer he began briskly walking towards the door.
"Thank you so much for helping Harry. I owe you one," he nodded at me before closing the door behind him.
The smile instantly fell off my face.
"Fuck!" I shouted to no one in particular.
I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and frantically dialed Niall's number.
He picked up on the first ring.
"Harry?" he nearly shouted.
"Niall! I don't know what to do Liam just showed up and he's so excited and he's on his way now to tell his parents and-"
"Harry," Niall stopped my ranting, "I did something."
"What?" I asked cautiously.
"Something bad."
"Niall what did you do?"
"Well I took Louis' phone and I thought maybe I could text Michael and reschedule the date. So that's what I did but...but I also ended up giving him your address."
"What?!" I shouted, "what is he going to do with my address?"
"I don't know Harry I panicked!" the stress was evident in Niall's voice.
