I was so caught up in my relationship with Niall that I completely forgot how Louis was feeling. I knew he definitely wasn't ready to move on from Liam. But there I was, practically living in his house for weeks, never leaving Niall's side. I wanted to help Louis out. Which is why it was perfect timing for Liam to call me.

"Hello?" I answered my phone.

"Hey Harry? It's Liam," he greeted.

"Oh hey," I made sure I was in a room were Louis couldn't hear me, "Liam."

"Look, I'm sure Louis told you what happened between us."

"Yeah," I bit the inside of my cheek.

I realized Louis had not told me much about it at all. He told me Liam cheated on him with a girl and that was the end of it.

Liam laughed nervously. "I feel awful about it."

I nodded along, then realized Liam couldn't possibly know that.

"Do you want to meet up?" he broke the silence.

"Uh, okay,"

"Great, I'll text you where. See you soon," and he hung up.

I didn't know what talking to Liam was going to do to fix anything but I figured it was worth a shot.

I pulled into the parking lot of a small cafe just blocks away from Louis and Niall's place. As I pulled open the door the smell of coffee surrounded me. I spotted Liam sitting at a table by the window.

His eyes met mine and he waved me over with a huge grin on his face.

"Hi. I bought you coffee," he motioned towards one of the cups on the table.

"Thanks," I sat down slowly.

As nice as the guy was, he still cheated on Louis, and as Louis' friend I couldn't be too nice to him.

"I wanted to talk about...what happened with me and Louis," he stated quietly.

"Oh you mean you cheating on him?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

He lowered his eyes and stared at his coffee.

"Yeah," he mumbled.

"Who did you do it with?" I folded my arms, preparing to drill him with questions.

"Someone I knew from school," Liam continued to speak quietly.

"What's her name?"

He looked around, as if making sure no one was listening before answering, "Sophia."

"Why?" that was what I wanted to know most.

"I-I don't, I was-" Liam stammered before groaning. He rested his face in his hands. "I don't know! I don't even like girls. I love Louis more than anything in this world. And I would do anything to see him smile again. He hasn't talked to me since that day in the hospital and he ran off as soon as he got the chance. He can't stand me! I'm a terrible person," he bellowed.

I nodded sympathetically. I knew exactly how he felt. What it was like to want to do anything just to make that person happy, when all the other person wants is for you to leave them alone.

"I feel so awful. The look on his face when he saw me..." he trailed off, clearly not wanting to talk about it.

But I asked anyways. "How did he react when he saw you?"

"I don't know how he found us," Liam looked distressed, "but I went out to pick her up from work, she works at a bar, and she kissed me outside. Next thing I knew Louis was standing right there. You could see his heart shatter," his voice cracked, "and then he started screaming at me. Asking how I could do this to him and how I was disgusting. Then he broke up with me right there."
