(A/N: I promise the story will get even more crazy after I get past the whole establishing a relationship part just bare with me)
I giggle while Harry sulks at what Sherry said about his ego.
"I like that," he says.
"What?" I say as my giggles start to come to a stop.
"Your giggle."
"I find my laugh annoying but thank you, I guess," I say while blushing.
"Trust me it's not annoying. I could listen to it all day, everyday." He sure does like making me feel like I'm going to explode.
Sherry comes back with our drinks and places them in front of us.
"So did y'all decide want you want to eat?" She questions looking back and forth between the both of us.
"I'll have the chicken wrap with that special sauce that I like," Harry says then looks over to me. "What do you want Lou?"
After looking over all the items on the menu, I know what I want but it's the most expensive entrée on the menu. And then I don't want to look like a fat ass in front of Harry so maybe I'll just get a salad.
"I'll just get a small caesar salad," I said while closing the menu and handing it to Sherry.
"No, that's not what you really want," Harry says knowingly. He's right and I know he knows he's right. "You were staring at the page with the pastas for a while. Which pasta do you want, Louis?" He says sternly.
"It's too expensive," I say while looking down at the table.
"It's fine Lou," he says softly. "Did you want the chicken fettuccine Alfredo pasta?" Still not looking up I slowly nod my head. "And he'll get that, thank you Sherry."
"Head up sugar," at the sound of Sherry's soft motherly voice I look up at her. "There's no need to feel ashamed. Harry is a real gentleman he'll take good care of ya," Sherry says with a wink then walks away to tell the cook our order.
"I'll take real good care of you, alright," Harry says while staring deep into my eyes and licking his lips. "You'll repay me for this meal someday."
"What? How?" I asked.
"Oh you'll know how. When the time comes," Harry chuckles and I hear him mutter the word 'comes' under his breath but I don't think I was meant to hear it. Why is the word 'comes' so funny? Harry is so weird. "I've never brought anyone here. I always come by myself," Harry says after his fit of giggles over the word 'comes'.
"Why haven't you brought anyone here?" I ask curiously.
"I don't know, I guess I just feel like this is my own special secret place and I don't want to share it with anyone."
"Then why did you bring me here?"
"I don't know, you confuse me, Lou."
"How? We haven't even known each other for 24 hours."
"Exactly," Harry says while taking a sip of his smoothie.
"You confuse me too, I've honestly never been so confused in my life until I met you," I say and then giggle.
"This means we're going to get on so well," he says.
"No it doesn't! I already don't like you," I say with a laugh.
"Your smile says otherwise," he points out.
"My smile says nothing," I say while putting my hand over my mouth to hide the smile appearing on my lips.
"It says..." he pauses to reach over and places a soft, yet firm hold around my wrist to pull my hand down from my face revealing my stupid smile, "...a lot actually."
Ugh, I'm smiling like a madman now. Curse you Harold. "What are you, a people reader?"
"Something like that," he says with a shrug.
"Okay, read me then," I say while sitting up straight like that's going to help him better to read my body language.
"You're cute," is all he says.
"That's not what you're supposed to say," I giggle and blush. He winks at me and takes another sip of his smoothie. "What even are you drinking? It looks like someone blended the Grinch into a drink."
"It's called a mystery green drink for a reason. Even I don't even know what the fuck it is but it tastes good as hell. Wanna try it?" He pushes the cup towards me.
"You don't mind if I put my mouth on your straw?" I ask before taking a sip.
"No," with his approval I take a sip of the green drink. "We'll be swapping DNA soon anyway," he winks at me and leans back in his seat. I swear I nearly died because I started choking on the smoothie at his comment.
"I will throw salt in your eyes if you keep winking at me!" I say which makes him chuckle.
"Aww, you don't like my wink?" He says with false sadness in his voice.
"I do like it that's the problem! Oh and we will not be sharing anymore DNA any time soon!" I shriek while still slightly choking. I take a sip of my strawberry lemonade and it helped a bit. I finally stop choking and give Harry a bewildered look. "Did you not care that I was choking?"
"I knew you would survive," he says with a shrug of his shoulders. "anyway, did it taste good?" He says nodding towards the smoothie.
"Yes it did, actually. I want to take another sip and I don't want to die so please control your crude comments, thank you," I suck on the straw slurping down the delicious drink while letting out a quiet moan. I look up at Harry while I'm still sucking on the straw to make sure he's not about to say anything and cause me to have another near death experience. He's just sat there leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed staring at me with a blank expression on his face. I see his eyes flicker from my eyes down to my lips and back up to my eyes. Why is he looking at me like that?
"Mmm that is so good. Sorry, I drank like half of it," I say sheepishly while licking my lips and pushing the drink back over to Harry's side of the table. He doesn't say anything but continues to intently gaze into my face.
"Harry? Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?" I begin to reach for a napkin but stop at the sound of his voice.
"No," he says startled like I woke him up out of a daydream. He clears his throat, sits up straighter then says, "no," again but in a more calm, settle tone. "sorry, I tend to zone out...a lot."
"Oh, what were you thinking about?"
"Just how good you looked while sucking on that straw," he smirks.
I immediately look down because I started blushing. How do I respond to that?
Suddenly Sherry comes up to our table with our food and places the plates in front of us. Thank you Sherry for saving me!
"Harry what did you say to that poor boy?! His face is as red as a woman's panties when it's that time of the month," she exclaims while putting her hands on her hips like she's ready to scold him.
"Thank you Sherry for that lovely image, we are about to eat," Harry's mouth twists into a grimace.
"You know I like messin' with ya Harry," she says while flicking his hair. "Now you two enjoy your food, holler if you need me," she says then walks off to attend to a customer who just walked in.
I smile as Harry fixes his hair where Sherry messed it up with a scowl plastered on his face. His hair actual didn't get messed up, it's so flawless it fell perfectly back into place. I shake my head at his ridiculousness and start eating my food. Mmmm it's so yummy I hope Harry brings me here again.
For the next couple of minutes we sat in comfortable silence just enjoying our food. I never thought I'd feel content eating with someone I just met hours ago. For some reason I feel very comfortable around Harry even though he is quite strange.
