This seems just like a fairytale you might say. People dancing, enjoying life. There was always one wicked person. You know what I mean, right? Anyways this is how this "Fairytale" started..
The air was filled with Spring air. It was the first week of May. It was the time of year for our spring festival.
I was with my twin Adrianna, my brother and our parents. As well as the villagers who've come to celebrate.
Nearby, the two princes of Ondelina were talking. There was Jake and his brother, Ryan.
I felt a rush of excitement through me, as Jake came towards me. I tried not to show or look his way. At least not until, he called my name or something like that.
Adrianna looked at me, but said nothing. She just gave a soft smile. A minute later someone tapped my shoulder. It almost made me jump. I turned and saw Jake. He smiled at me.
"Hello Isabella." Jake says. I return the hello just like any other person would do. At the end I stumbled over my words. Isn't he sooo dreamy? No stop Izze, I tell myself. Though that was no use. His brown eyes never looked so dark and filled with humor. Even his dirty blonde hair made him the perfect prince charming...
"Would you like to dance with me?" He asks. I felt a warm feeling inside me, it certainly knocked me out of my sweet thoughts of Jake and back to reality. I was about to answer when....
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A gigantic chasm formed. People screamed all around me. I was confused, I didn't know what to do. Jake released his grip, disappearing through the crowd. People were running into one another. I tried running through the crowd bumping into people as a ran.
"Jake? Mother, Father? Adrianna, Collin?" I called out, to only hear Adrianna and Collin answer. Adrianna ran towards me hugging me, and leading me towards Collin. I gasped, looking down at Collin's cut under his eye and on his cheek.
"I'm fine Izze!" Collin says yelling so I can hear him. He grabbed my hand, dragging Adrianna and I with him. I saw where he was taking us. I stopped terrified to go any further. He was taking us to the woods. The Enchanted Woods. Collin looked at me, giving me a reassuring look. I started to move again looking back at everyone. People were running around still screaming. Some on the ground not moving, others wincing at the pain, or crying out to their family. I couldn't do anything to help, but I badly wanted to.
What if another bomb went off...more people would be killed, and there would be an even bigger chasm.
What about my parents? They never called out to me when I called to them...
I hope their okay as well as everybody else. I have to look away. Just looking at the chasms and everything makes me want to cry.
Collin had dragged us into an enchanted forest. Even though I really didn't want to go. They say the forest is enchanted, but I don't think it's enchanted. But all my teachers ever say is, that on the west coast is the "Enchanted forest." I highly doubt it still. That's because all it is, is pine trees and ditches. Rushing water from streams that lead into ponds.
"Why are we in the forest?" Adrianna asks. Collin was ahead by a bit and started scavenging out the area. I still followed even though I didn't wanting to go farther away from home. "Collin, I asked you why are-"
Collin looked annoyed and glared at my sister. "Uh, we need to get away. Haven't you figured that out yet?" Now facing Adrianna and I both.
"She was just asking." I shot back, a little mad at Collin. He usually is always nice, never is angry. He probably just shook up because of the bomb. I walk over to Collin who is looking at a tall pine tree.
I put my hand on his shoulder, feeling his hate for whoever set off the bombs. Killing our people, and hopefully not our own parents. I felt grief for everyone of those people at the festival that lost someone or died..
He shook me off. "Come on, we have to keep moving." Collin says, walking further into the forest.
What is wrong with him? I was mad at him, my hands were clenched into fists. Adrianna puts a hand on my shoulder.
"It's okay, maybe later on he will be normal again." Adrianna said softly, then followed Collin. I sighed and trudged along with my brother and sister.
I really wished the day would move a little faster. Unfortunately it did not, at all. I looked to see where the sun was in the sky. When the bombs hit, it was one or two. The sun seemed to be set around, three o'clock. We've been in this ridiculous forest for about an hour.
A cold shiver ran up my back. What will happen to us? I thought. I tried shaking it out of my head, but the thought wouldn't budge. It just bothered me so much. I hated it.
Collin stopped and started gathering some sticks. Adrianna stood there. I walked up to her, and stood by her side. She was a little startled seeing me brush her shoulder slightly with my shoulder. She didn't show facial expression though.
"Now what?" I ask her. She shrugged. Collin looked at us, motioning us to help him. So we did. Adrianna collected leaves. While on the other hand, I gathered some rocks from a stream I heard a little bit to the left of where we were. I was glad that Collin was starting to feel somewhat calm again.
Night was coming, and soon we would have to sleep. I really wish we could sleep in a nice comfy bed. Apparently that was not an option. The only option was the cold leafy ground of nature..
