"Take off your boot and try like you did before." Sarah said.
My cousin took off her boot and smashed it against the glass. Sadly it only made a small crack. My mom nervously watched us and the door. She was not taking any risks of us getting caught.
"Take your other one off and give it to me." Sarah told Rachel.
"Okay.." Rachel replied. She gave Sarah her other combat boot and together they hit them against the glass. This time it broke, but not enough to fit through.
"Try again girls, but do it quick. I don't want any guards or William coming in and doing something horrible."
"Okay." Sarah and Rachel said in unison.
This time when they hit the window again it opened up wide enough for a person to slip through. Rachel slipped her boots back on and carefully swept away the broken pieces of glass.
  "Who's first?" I ask.
"How about you, since you asked." Adrianna answered moving away from the glass.
I shrugged and walked over to the window. Slowly I put one leg through and then my arm and head. I looked around for the vine and grabbed hold of it. The vine was sturdy. Next I moved my hold body out of the window and I slid down the vine.
I landed on a tree branch with a small thud. Looking up I see one of my sister's coming. It was Isabella. She climbed down slowly.
Next was Sarah, Rachel, then Adrianna and finally our mom. She looked different from all the way down here.
"Mom it's okay you can do it!" Adrianna told our mom.
She nodded and made her way down the vine. Once we were all on the tree, we began to climb down it.
"Everyone here?" Izze asked. We all nod. "Okay let's go!" She whispers.
All six of us climb down the tree trunk and go up against the castle walls. We quickly sprint across towards a door. I look in the other side. There were no guards which was very helpful.
"We are almost out, all we have to do is run down that road and into the village. Then go down another road that leads us to grandma's kingdom." I stop to take a breath. "Finally go down another road and we are home!"
"Collin, we are royalty. Royalty don't run away from things. Even though we have no choice." My mom said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"It will be okay, your Majesty." Sarah said calmly.
  "I know.."
"Let's just go cause I can hear shouts..."
Isabella said anxious.
We all turn around and gasp. From up in the broken window shouts and commands we be yelled.
It looked like someone was looking out the window. I squinted and I could just make out who it was. It was Jake. He must have came in after we left...
"We have to go now!" I yell.
We run like we were being chased by a pack of wolves. I don't look back. I keep running towards the gate. We're so close, I could almost touch it.
  CREEEK!
Oh no...
The gate was closing, we had to make it under. All of us needed to. I slid right out of the castle walls.
Sarah flew in next. Next was My mom, Rachel then Adrianna. We all made it!
  Wait...where...is...Izze...?
I look at the gate as it hits the ground and a girl calms running to it. No!
I run to where the gate is grab her hand. "IZZE!"
"I..fell. Now I'm locked in here forever. I'll die a  princess in this terrible kingdom with Jake!" She sobbed.
I looked behind her. Somebody was coming, but it didn't look like Jake or his dad. Or a guard. Izze turned too.
"Help me please!" She pleaded at me.
  "Try climbing!" I tell Izze.
  "I can't! He's coming closer!!" Izze shrieked.
The boy came up and yanked her away from the gate. Everyone came up to the gate next to me and screamed at him.
He looked familiar, but I couldn't remember who. Was it Jake's brother? A servant? I wasn't really sure...
  Wait. I'm stupid...
  It's his brother....
"Let me go!" Izze screamed again.
She kicked his leg making him fall backwards. Izze scrambled away and up on her two feet.
"YOU!" Isabella yelled. "YOU ALMO-"
"Almost died from helping you guys!" Ryan yells at my sister.

"What?" My sister asks confused. She was not the only one here who felt like her. We all were confused.
  He was helping us? Really?
"Do you really think I'm like him?" Ryan asked.
"Well what do you expect?" Adrianna asked.
"I guess I would be like him, but I'm not. You guys have been through way too much." He stopped to breathe. "You lost your mom for almost a month, I lost mine forever..."
"I'm so sorry." Izze said to Ryan.
"It's okay." Ryan said walking over to a lever.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
He looked at me. "Helping."
Then just like that he pulled the lever and the gate flew up. Adrianna ran to our sister and hugged her.
"Come let's go now. Also, thank you Ryan." My mom says.
We all now make it out of the terrible place and head down the road to the village. Instead of the road, we stay between the trees. Just in case they come looking for us down the road.
We walk through the trees for about five to ten minutes. Until the first village comes to a seeable range.
  "Almost there." I tell myself.
"Good, cause I need to stop to get something to drink." Rachel says. She's walking next to me so I guess she overheard me.
"Okay we're here." I say over my shoulder.
Once we make it into the village people crowd around us asking me, Sarah, Adrianna and Rachel if we found Izze.
I quick ran to the water fountain and stood on its edge. "Everyone!" They all turned to me, "we did find her and our mom, the queen."
It was silent for two whole second. Then the village went up in cheers of joy. Little kids were jumping up in circles.
I hopped down watched as they walked away. I ran after them. Apparently they really wanted to get home.
"Wait up!"
Sarah stopped and waited for me too catch up. When I was a few feet away she turned and started to walk again.
I'm so glad we are almost home. My legs are killing me and it feels so nerve wrecking to find out what my dad, Sean, Nora and everybody else are going to say when we come back from missing for a day.

"Oh no!" Izze exclaimed.
I looked at her. "What?"
"Grandpa! I never knew what happened to him after they threw me into that death trap." Izze replied.
"We can't go back Iz..." I say.
"Then I won't move." She said folding her arms over her chest.
"Isabella Primrose, you are coming." My mom scolded.
  "But-"
"No now let's go, Royal guards will find him." I lie to her.
I have to face the facts that he's dead. So does my sister, but they were close and I don't want her to lose her hope. If Izze loses her hope, I think we all might lose our hope.
"Here we are finally..." My mom said happily.
Our grandparents kingdom stood firm for it always has been. Everything looked positively normal. Which was weird.
"Why is everyone so calm?" Rachel's voice echoes in the air.
"Not sure just stay together." My mom answers.
I roll my eyes slightly at her. She is acting like we are seven. I know she's just scared, but I hate being treated like I'm little.
"Your majesty!" A guard calls from the stables. We glide left to the stables to see the guard waving his hands.
  "Yes?" My mom says.
"Your mother is worried sick." He replies.
"Oh. Where is she?" She asks.
"Garden." He answers quickly.
My mom nods and bursts through the door that leads to the throne room. It's empty except for a few servants.
They remind me of Nora. Nora...
I don't even remember that last time I saw her. Was it after I fell? In not sure, but I kinda miss her smile...
"This way!" Izze says darting ahead.
"I know my way around Isabella. I've lived here for about eighteen years!" Our mom exclaimed.
My sister still leads the way. Stopping once in awhile, making sure we are still behind her. Of course we still are. Cause we are all going to the same place. The castle garden.

We approach the door and look at it. I push ahead and open them. Considering nobody else is. My grandmother is watering the flowers when I approach her. She turns and almost drops the can.
   "Collin!" She exclaimed hugging me.
  "Hello." I say back.
"My granddaughter is okay!" Grandma said making her way to Izze. She gave her a big hug. Our mom got an even bigger one.
"I'm okay mom." My mom said calmly. "For some bunch of teens, they were very brave.."
Sarah dipped her head down and tried hiding her blush and smirk. Her blonde hair fell in front of her face, to help hide it.
"You should probably stay the night. I have plenty of room..."
"No, we have to go home to father." Izze says.
My grandmother sighs, "Alright, but send a message when you arrive."
My mother nods and we exit the garden. Once we made it down the steps of the castle, a coach was there waiting for us.
The door opened. I was the first inside. After my mother and cousin got it, I was not sure there would be enough room. Apparently there was.
The Coachman sat in his seat and yanked on the reins. In front, the horses neither and trotted down the road.
I sat by the window and looked out. The sun was beaming in my eyes. Just about to set on the horizon line. It has been a whole day of craziness.
For a month we lost our mom after the bombs. Then we lost my sister to a demon, Jake today. Once the sun fell, we were all safe and coming home...
