I ate quietly as well as everyone else did after my cousin left. I don't think I have ever seen so much anger between my uncle and my cousin, Collin.
After breakfast we got to go around the castle some more. The first thing I did was rush to my room. When I got there I went inside and into the closet. I found what I was looking for, Bobby-pins.
I peeked out of my door, the hallways were deserted. I slipped out into the hall, and ran down a hallway on the left. This hallway would lead me to Collin's room. Where I would try my best to unlock the door and find out what happened.
I walk down the hallway. It was lit with torches on the walls. I was not exactly sure which room, but I knew which ever was locked was his.
I started to bend a pin to make it flat while walking. The first door I came upon was unlocked. So I went to the next door. It was locked. Then I moved one to the next door, but I stopped short and turned.
Wow Rachel, you just passed his room...
I walk back to the door I just past. I took out the pin. Slowly, I put the pin in the lock and started picking it. It clicked open after three tries. I held my breathe as I slowly opened Collin's bedroom door.
Collin was sitting on the couch in front of his window. I walked in quietly shutting the door. Without saying a word, I sat next to him and looked out the window.
"What are you doing in here?" Collin asked still staring out the window.
"Tell me, Collin." I say to him. He looks at me while I start to talk again, "What is with you and your dad?" I ask. He glares at me still then looks away.
"With me and my dad? Nothing's the matter." He says facing the window.
"Collin why won't you tell me?" I ask.
"I told you nothing's wrong!" He yelled. I look at him with a hurt face. I wasn't really upset about it, just annoyed, but usually he will tell you if you give him this look.
"Never mind then..." I say standing up. I start to walk to the door.
Collin runs up in front of me, "Wait, wait! Look I'm just really mad at him and he is really mad at me. It's because one of the guards found me and told my father and now he is mad." I look into his eyes, his hazel eyes finding the truth.
"Okay then what did he catch you do?" I ask. Collin shakes his head. That meant he wasn't going to tell me. "Fine, don't tell me!" I say and start for the door again.
He grabs my arms, "Fine! I will tell you, but you can't tell anyone else. Not even my sister's or Sarah. Understood?" I nod, he lets go of me.
He sighs and then starts to tell me the whole thing. After he told me I felt kind of shocked. I don't know if I would ever expect it, but now I know doesn't like, like Sarah.
"Wow..." I say to him.
"Yeah, but remember don't tell-" I cut him off.
"I know, I know. Don't tell Sarah or your sister's..." I roll my eyes. He laughs and copies me.
"I know, I know. Don't tell Sarah or your sister's..." Collin says in a high pitched voice.
Which makes both of us laugh like crazy. I wipe away tears from laughing way too hard. Suddenly I hear the door knob start to turn.
"Hide now!" He whispers quickly under his breathe. He pushing me into his closet. Collin shuts the doors behind me.
I'm hyperventilating, even though I've told myself to shut it.
"Your Highness." A rough voice said, "The king wants to see you right now."
"Why?" Collin asked.
"Because...He... He said... Said to come." The voice stuttered.
"Why are you stuttering? Is my father alright? My sister's?" Collin asked, with worriness in his voice.
"Yes now come!" The voice said, "Also why was your door open?" I froze while my head was leaning against the door.
"Um, I don't know." Collin said worried. I leaned my head more on the door to listen.
Then all I could hear was a click, and then a second later the closet door opened and I fell on the ground.
"Oops." I said standing up carefully.
"Oh brother..." Collin say shaking his head.
"What do you think you're doing?" The guard asked.
"Uh, redecorating..?" I said backing up towards Collin.
"Come with me young lady, and Collin meet your father in the throne room NOW!" Shouted the guard. The guard held onto my arm escorting me out of Collin's room.
Collin mouthed "I'm sorry."
I mouthed back, "It's okay."
I followed the guard all the way down the hallway and back to the door of my room. He looked at me. Waiting for me to enter my room. I felt like if I went in there he would lock me up. I could see Collin behind him walking very slow and silent.
"I will physically move you into the room if you don't do so yourself." The guard said strictly.
