After that delicious deer meat, I helped Sarah's mother with the plates. She watched me limp over to the sink, carrying two plates in each hand. She shook her head at me.
"Collin, I know you want to help. But you need to rest that leg of yours." She says to me.
Sarah's mother took the plates from me and rinsed them. I sat down in chair, watching her silently. She grabbed a small soap bar and started covering the dishes in soap. By the way it looked, it seemed like it was made of Bee's Wax. Which was not very common in our kingdom.
"Sarah's mom, where is everyone?" I ask. She looks at me, and sits down across from me.
"Please you can call me Heather, and their burying..." I nod and look out the window. Seeing if I can spot them, but I can't, only a fawn. I turn back towards Heather, she is looking at me with her sweet smile.
"She likes you, you known..." Her voice trailed off. I looked at her, questionably. "Sarah, every since you arrived. I can see it, when she teases you. Even in her facial expression." It was quiet now. I didn't know what to say.
How could Sarah like me? I wondered. I mean, I was nice to everyone basically. So I guess that's a good reason. I was looking down at that ground while I thought this through. Then I looked up, to face Heather.
"You're sure?" I ask. Heather nods, then I continue to speak. "What do I do? What if I tell her I know she likes me?" Everything was coming out all at once. Heather put her hand on mine. I met her eyes, slightly.
"Don't worry about it. When the times comes, it comes." She says walking away. The front door opened. Sarah was standing there caked with mud. I snort.
"I know it's just I've never had someone like me. Well I mean I've had princess like me usually only for the wealth.." Heather nods slightly.
The front door bursts open, slamming against the oak wood. Sarah stood there. Boots caked in mud and tiny bits covering her face and left in her hair. I stifled a laugh. "What happened to you?" I ask, looking at her from head to toe. She shoots me a look, and shakes her head slightly.
"Collin, I really don't think you want to know." Sarah says to me. Kayla and my two sisters walk in the house, perfectly clean. Kayla giggles then stops, seeing her sister's angry face. Heather walks up to her shaking her head.
"No daughter of mine is to be seen like this." She exclaimed. Sarah stomped her foot and followed her mom to the bathroom. Complaining the whole way into the bathroom about how their in the woods.
Adrianna sits next to me. She looks down at my wound, but doesn't say anything.
"Do you guys think Sarah likes me?" I ask quietly. It was quiet for a while, but then Adrianna broke it.
"Well um, Isabella thinks she does..." Adriana said in a soft tone. Kayla nodded her head, like a bobble head statue. I look down at my feet. I was wearing a pair of black converses, but that didn't help solve any problems by looking at them.

Isabella looks out the window, still saying nothing. She's just staring out the window, like she usually did at home.
The bathroom door swung open. Sarah was standing there not so happily. I am probably going to get creamed....
"I'm going on a walk" She says firmly, slamming the front door behind her. I look at Heather, she says nothing at all. Thank god I didn't get creamed...
I stand up and walk out the door as well. Maybe I should follow her or ask her...
Before I do Izze grabs my arm, but I shake her off. Sarah made it not too far. She stopped and turned to face me. I froze, feeling she might say something like, 'What do you want Collin?'
"It's okay, I'm not mad at you. If you want you can walk with me." She says waiting for my response.
I nod and walk carefully towards her side. We walk silently, not saying a word. Just feeling the breeze blow past us. Maybe I should ask her... I think.
"Hey Collin, I want to tell you something important." Sarah says looking down. I could tell she was blushing. Maybe this was when she was going to tell me, herself that she likes me.
I look at Sarah, she looks up now and meets my eyes. She stops walking, I stop too and stand in front of her. Face to face.
"Look I-" Before I could finish, she leans in and kisses me. Without thinking I wrap my arm around her waist, it lasted atleast three seconds. I literally almost fell over. She blushed again, looking down at her boots. "Well that was.." My voice trailed off, not sure what to do or say.
      "Weird? Sweet?" She asks me.
"Sweet..." I say, finally after thinking straight.
"I guess ever since I met, I kind of liked you. But I did not want to say anything, I thought it would make things weird." She says.
I shook my head, but really was it weird? Or was it not weird at all?
"Maybe we should go back.." I say, she nods. We walk back, but before we reached the house we hear something.
SHOOM!
Sarah screams, I pull her down behind a rock.
I peek out, there is a boy and a girl. I turn to Sarah who is breathing heavily. Luckily that gunshot hadn't got us. I hear now the boy say something.
"Come out into the open now!" He yells. Sarah shakes her head at me, rapidly. I grab Sarah, yanking her up. We step out into the open.
"Put your hands up!" He yells at us again, about to shoot. So we do what we were told. The girl walks towards us. Sarah slowly moves a bit behind me.
