Days seemed to go by faster. There was no way of knowing how long we'd been stuck here.
I sigh, "Rachel I'm really doubting this..."
She paced the floor and stopped to look at me. Her bright blue eyes full of emotion. "Well I don't." Then she mutters something.
"What did you say?" I ask raising an eyebrow. Rachel's head snaps up to look at me again.
"N-nothing." She stutters. I stand up and grab her shoulders making her small figure look up at me.
"Rachel...you know you can tell me anything."
She sighs and speaks quietly, "He's coming. He will help..." I look at her, confused. Who was coming? My eyes snap to the door. Faint foot steps echo through the hall beyond the door. They get louder with each step. Until they stop and the door swings open.
A boy probably a year older than Rachel, stands there. His dark brown hair flattened against his sweaty forehead. He stares at Rachel and she stares back. Like they are having a conversation in their mind with each other.
"Rachel who is he?" I ask. The boy steps forward and I immediately know that he has got to be royal.
"I am Ryan, Jake's younger brother. The less devilish one." He says calmly. I shake my head feeling more and more confused.
Rachel grabs my arm and pulls me towards the boy Ryan who is motioning us out. "I'll explain everything." She whispers as we step out into the dark hallway.

"It's just around this corner.." Ryan whispers. He walls ahead, Rachel following right behind. I grab her arm making her stop to look up at me.
"So..?" I ask.
"Listen Sean, I trust him. He's helped us before." She says quietly as she continues to catch up to him.
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"W-when I was here before....he was the one who helped us out. It's a l-long story." She stutters silently.
"Could you tell me about it Rachel?"
"It's a long story..." she murmurs back as she runs to catch up with Ryan. I mentally smack myself in the face.

Dust swirls in the air leaving me to cough. I try swatting away the dust as we enter an underground tunnel.
"Where is this exactly leading us?" I ask cautiously. No way did I fully trust him, no matter what Rachel said.
"It leads around behind the village to Queen Isabella's." Ryan says. He grunts quietly as he pushes open a small wooden door.
We continue to walk through the tunnel. Our feet the only noise heard, besides our breathing.
"We're close, I know it." Rachel says letting out a small breath. I look down at her and watch the eagerness in her eyes.
Abruptly we stop. I glance ahead to see Ryan grab something out of his pocket. It's a small bronze colored ring key. He shoves it up to the ceiling where a trap door is. Slowly Ryan turns the key and it clicks.
The door immediately drops almost slamming into Rachel's face. She ducks quickly and stands next to Ryan.
I scoot passed the door and look up. A old ladder hands down leading up to a dim light.
"It leads right up to an old well right next to your grandmother's kingdom." Ryan says quietly.
"Thank you." Rachel says as she turns to hug him. When she let's go, his face is a light shade of pink. I roll my eyes and nod in his directions, as a say of a 'thank you.'
I watch as Rachel climbs up the ladder. Once she is almost up, I start to climb up myself.
"Good luck!" Ryan's voice echoed below as we climb further and further up the ladder.
