Chapter 18: sean

"Hey." I said walking up to Rachel. My hand ruffled her hair. She turned to look at me.
"Oh hey." She says back now looking at the road.
"Look I know you miss them, but we can't see them." I say quietly. Rachel then starts walking towards the road.
"Where are you going?" I call trying to catch up to her.
She finally answers, "Getting away from you."
"Why me?"
"Because you have your family! I don't and I'm so alone all the time! I can't even go visit some relatives of mine cause if these stupid rules that make you feel like you're in prison!!" Rachel says throwing her arms in the air.
I stepped back, "Ok, I'm sorry..." I turn and walked away back to the house. When I close the door behind me I sigh and run my fingers through my hair.
Just because she lost her relatives and has to be here, doesn't mean she has to blow up....okay now maybe that's normal to do. I guess I never really thought about that because I for some reason always felt okay.

It was dark out. I sighed. Hopefully Rachel calms down and comes inside. "Where's Rachel?" Caroline asks.
"Outside. She just needs to cool down." I say just as the thirteen year old girl herself walks in. She stops and looks at us before mumbling a sorry going up the stairs.

The stars were shining as I watched them up in the sky. It was almost as if they were trying to outshine each other. Everyone had gone to bed. I was close behind. Slowly I tried to make myself fall asleep.
Creeek creeek

I groan and opened my eyes. Voices could be heard down stairs. Then a door shut. There was only one door, and that was the door to outside. I got out of bed and quietly made my way downstairs. Someone was standing there in the shadows. It was Lily.
"Lily what are you doing up?" I ask as I hear Caroline and her husband shift in the bed. Lily jumps from being startled. She looks at me then Caroline.
"Oh um Sean what are you doing up so late?" She asks me whiles fiddling with her hair.
I put my hands on her shoulders, "Lil, why are you up?"
A single tear streams down her face. I wipe it away in one swipe. "S-she left." Lily said shakily.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Rachel, she left." She said quietly. "She told me to ask you in the morning and you would explain. Why'd she leave Sean?"
I sigh, "She just needs to be with her family. You know like me, you and Annie? Need to be together."
Lily nods and hugs me tightly. "I should go to bed." I nod in agreement before following her actions.
Oh Rachel, I hope you will be happier.

"Wake up!" A voice shouts jumping on top of me. I squint at the light finding its way to me.
"Off now." I say.
"Okay, but you have to get up. Someone's here." The voice says. I sit up and immediately come in contact with one of my sister's faces.
"Ow!"
"Sorry..." I say now looking at Annie. "So who is it?"
"Some man." Lily said from the stairs.
"Yeah he looks big and scary. Him, Emmett and Caroline are outside." Annie says.

I walk outside after getting dressed with Annie and Lily right behind me. The door was ajar, so I simply just pushed past. All three seemed to be in a conversation as I studied the man. He was tall and muscular. Dark hair and a slight beard growing. I've never seen him before ever.....that I know of.
Emmett turns to me as he notices me, "Ah, Sean. This is Mr. Mills."
"Uh nice to meet you." I say rubbing the back of my neck. He nods his head in return not saying anything. "I don't mean to be rude but what are you doing here?"
     "Oh Emmett I told you.." Caroline says wiping her eyes.
     "What's going on?" Lily asks as she brushed against my shoulder. I looked down at her just as Annie made her way next to her.
    "Sean....Mr. Mills is, taking you." Emmett said quietly.
     "Oh. You mean like all three of us?" I ask.
    "We are going to live in another house together?" Annie said with excitement.
     "No."
   "What?" My voice faltered.
    "He's taking just you." He said through gritted teeth. I looked at Caroline, but she said nothing. All she did was grab my sister's and bring them inside.
     "I don't understand." I say looking between Emmett and the other guy. Emmett was not telling me something. I started to feel nervous. How could I trust this guy? I don't know him.
      Mr. Mills looked down at his watch before clearing his throat. "The arrangement is made and we need to go."
     "What if I don't want to go." I say crossing my arms over my chest.
    He walked up to me and replied in a low voice, "I suggest you do if you'd like to keep people alive."
    My eyes widen and I glance at Emmett. "How could you." I spat at him.
   "I had no choice. I'm sorry, but goodbye Sean." Emmett whispered.
    He turned and started towards the house. I grabbed his arm, "Please let me say goodbye to them."
     Emmett looked at me then Mr. Mills before sighing and calling my sister's.
    "Sean!!" They said in unison.
    I bent down to them and hugged them tightly. Tears were threatening to spill out of my eyes. I only just got them back and now I have to leave them again.
    "I'm going to miss you both." I whispered into their hair.
     "We love you." Annie said sniffling.
     "Goodbye Sean..." Lily said slinging an arm around Annie.
     "Bye.." I said.
  Once they all were inside, I was towed to a small carriage. Black Carriage.
    I've never seen a black carriage before. It made me wonder, but the only thing on my mind was what he said earlier.
     "I suggest you do if you'd like to keep people alive."

"Are we there yet?" I ask.
"yes." He said rudely.
"just asking." I mumbled silently as I looked out the window. We seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. The only things leading in we're the long gravel road and the rows of trees.

"We are here." Mr. Mills replied.
"good so can you tell me why I'm here?" I snap.
"Will you ever be quiet?" He asks glaring at me.
"I'm almost seventeen, I can do whatever I want." I answered.
"Just be quiet for now." He snapped.
I rolled my eyes before looking out the window. We were approaching a dark gloomy castle. Very much different Queen Elizabeth and King Sebastian's kingdom.
"What is this place?" I murmur.
"King William's."
I look at him, "He is...?"
"A King. For someone who is almost seventeen, thought you'd be somewhat smart." He sighed and shook his head. "I had already told you he was a king."
I sigh, "Can you just tell me why I'm here."
"He'll explain." Was all he said back.

We stepped out of the carriage and walked up the stone stairs. The castle walls were high and dark. Everything here seemed dead. No life at all.
"What is this? Hades castle above the ground?" I chuckle, but stop after getting another glare.
"Come now." He snapped and I followed.
We walked down several hall ways before I was pushed into a room. My knees hit the floor as a slid. I quickly stood up, brushing my pants off. My eyes took in my surroundings. I was in a empty room, alone. The doors were shut and locked.
I banged on them, "Let me out!!!"
There was no answer.
