Hayley
Hayley and Lewis walked hand in hand to the bridge that run over the river. It was getting dark and the full moon was bright, lighting up the entire sky. He took her hand and led her down to the small river, the same one with the dark and murky waters. She felt her skin crawling. She became instantly stiff, and he caught on immediately.
“What's wrong?” Lewis asked cautiously.
“I don't know, I've been having these recurring dreams...” Hayley started to tell him, “You know what? Never mind, I'm just being stupid.”
She would rather ignore what she'd been dreaming about and focus on what she needed, which was him, so she brushed it off and paid no attention to her gut feelings. There was no sand, just white pebbles that were scattered along the river bank. It looked romantic at night with the faint light of the moon and the milky stars. Lewis sat down on the stones and pulled her in-between his legs and held her around the waist. She leaned back onto his chest; she had never felt quite so content. They were looking up at the stars, he tried counting them. Hayley giggled as his efforts failed. He knew a lot about astronomy and took her hand and pointed out Orion's Belt and The Three Kings. He eventually told her to close her eyes and make a wish. Hayley laughed at his request but she did it anyway, she wished that she would be with him until they died.
“What did you wish for?” Lewis asked as he took her hand, stood up and pulled her up, right onto his chest so they were just centimetres apart. Even with the little amount of light she could still see how crystal-blue his eyes were. She was breathless.
“I can't tell you,” Hayley teased, “It won't come true.”
“Ha ha okay.” Lewis said pretending to believe her. He pulled her waist forward and kissed her, long and loving, she could feel him smiling while they were kissing. Hayley loved him; she was madly, truly and passionately in love with him.
Suddenly there was a loud clash of thunder above them, neither of them flinched. She reached her arms up onto his shoulders and stood on her toes so she could kiss him. He held her firmly so she didn't lose her balance. The rain drops were frosty and heavy. He took off his long sleeved shirt carefully so they didn't have to stop kissing. The rain poured over them and they were soaking wet, he took his shirt and held it over them to try stopping the rain from hitting their faces. Hayley ran her hands over his muscles, his arms, back and his chest. Even in the icy weather he was still hot. He pulled her right up against him and put his shirt on her. Her hair fell in her face and he gently moved it out of his way. He took her hand, and placed the other one on his shoulder.
“What are you doing?” She asked curiously.
“I'm slow dancing with my girlfriend in the rain. May I have this dance?” He stepped closer. She could feel herself blushing furiously. They danced around and around until she couldn't feel her feet, partially from the cold but mainly from dancing on the stones. She collapsed and with a thud she landed on the floor. She lay back and laughed. She was so embarrassed. He dropped to his knees and lifted her slightly, brushing back her hair.
“Are you alright?” He asked in a slight panic.
“I'm perfect, you, you are perfect!” She touched his face. He really was perfect. He picked her up in cradled position and carried her back to the bridge. He placed her down gently.
“Can you feel your feet?” He asked politely.
“Pins and needles.” She laughed under her breath.
“Can I carry you home?” The rain dripped down the contours of his face; he looked so innocent, so angelic.
“How about you hold my hand so if I fall you can catch me?” She teased.
“I'll always be there to catch you.” He reached out and took her hand, “Come on, let's go.”
