Lewis

Lewis took her hands and took her outside onto the patio which leads to the garden and pool.

“How about dinner with a sea view?” Lewis asked Hayley politely.

“Sounds amazing.” The patio was covered with burning white candles and a single red rose in the centre of a table set for two.

“Oh, Lewis this is beautiful! You have totally outdone yourself.”

“What’s a few candles and a rose? Come over here, take a seat.” Lewis pulled out a chair for her and pushed it in for her. The candles highlighted her natural beauty.

“Thank you so much. This is so sweet of you!”

“You mean the world to me Hayley, this is nothing compared to how much your happiness means to me.” Lewis charmed.

“Be right back with our food.” Lewis carried to plates of hot pasta he made himself.

“Ooh Lou this looks so delish!”

“And if you look right over there,” He pointed out into the garden towards the pool,

“There’s our sea view!”

“You have such a wild imagination, Babe.”

“You love it.” He winked at her.

“Lewis, thank you so much, I had so much fun tonight.” Hayley said to him as they walked hand in hand over the bridge towards her house. He swung their arms playfully.

“You are more than welcome, Angel. I’m so glad you came. You know, I'm so confused. They told me that angels are only in heaven, but I've found one, right here.” Lewis squeezed her hand tightly. Hayley gave him the most adorable look.

“Lewis, you are such a charmer!”

“You know it, Babe.” As they neared her house Lewis slowed his pace.

“Are you alright?” Hayley asked with such great concern. “I don’t want to leave you just yet, I’m making this moment last for as long as I can.” Hayley stepped sideways right into him.

“You are the sweetest guy I have ever met, how did I get so lucky? I would be so lost without you!”

“Literally or figuratively speaking?” Lewis teased her. She shot him a look. As they approached her front door he stopped and took hold of both of her hands and pulled her into a tight hug.

“If I could prove my love for you with a hug I would squeeze you to death.” Lewis whispered in her ear and pulled her tighter, lowering his hands on her back.

“Before I met you, I didn’t know what it was like to smile for no reason, you are my everything, Hayley Bennett.”

“Stop, you are going to make me cry.” Hayley sniffed. Like in all the classic love stories the boys would walk their date home and kiss them goodnight if they were lucky enough. Lewis brushed back Hayley’s long curls from her face and put his hands on her cheeks slowly inching his way in for a kiss.
