Chapter 27- Explain.Plan.Shop

LIZZY'S POV

It's been a week since I saw my dad, and since I got out of the hospital. I haven't talked to Nathan much because he's been out of the house. It's kind of making me second guess things with us because he did say all that stuff on the phone... So. I really don't know. My birthday is tomorrow so it would be quiet nice if I could have my boyfriend around. I was hoping that we could go out to dinner with either just me and Nathan. Or everyone. The whole clique. During mid-thought my stomach growled. I just realised that I didn't eat yet. Due to me just waking up... With no Nathan at my side. So okay. Just okay. I got out of bed and walked down stairs to get food. I saw Tom and Max sitting on the couch. Must be the only ones awake. "Ayee Mini wheat!" I chuckled at Max's statement. "Mini wheat? Where'd that come from?" Max and Tom started laughing. I there something wrong with me? "I have no clue. Just popped in my head because of how tiny you are" yeahh. I can see where that came from. I'm only 5'1. "Of course. Do you guys know where Nathan is?" They both looked at each other and shrugged. "Out." They said in sync. I let out a frustrated groan. I really just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry. I went to the kitchen and started making my eggs and toast. Just then I heard the front door open then close. Hmm. Wondering who that would be. Nathan? Yeah. I walked to the living room and saw Nathan standing there with a little bag from a jewellers... I pretended not to see it. "Hi." I said shortly and blandly and walked back into the kitchen. "Lizzy. Don't be that way." Really. Did he just say that? He ran into the kitchen after me. i turned to look at him. "What?" His eyes had sympathy in them. "We need to talk Nathan." "I understand." I sighed. "We haven't talked since I got out of the hospital. And you're never here. Why Nathan. Why?" He frowned. "Who were you talking to on the phone the day we went to the hospital?" "Lizzy. When I tell you, you are the only one and I love you I mean it. I was on my phone with my mom. Our next door neighbour, you know the smiths? They were giving my mom a hard time and her daughter has a thing for me and it's always been that way. That's basically all that happened. 100% honesty." I smiled. "Where have you been going lately though? Like I want to spend time with you." He laughed. "You'll see tomorrow." He winked at me. Then kissed my cheek. Glad to know he still remembers my birthday.

Later that day

"Hey! Wake up sleepy head!" I woke up to a taping on my forehead by someone. What the fuck. I kind of liked my nap. I opened my eyes to see Kelsey, Neeresha, and Nina huddling over me. "Mmmm. What do you want" I said while running my eyes. "Well do you want to go birthday shopping or not!" Kelsey practically shouted. I groaned. "Can I get ready first?" I flung my feet over my bed. "Yes. Just hurry up!" I giggled. Well okay then. I went over to my vanity and did a thin line of eye liner on my eye, mascara, pink lip stain, and very little foundation. I went over to my closet. I pulled out a black pair of combat boots, a tight fitting blue-ish, purple crop top with a high waisted black poka dotted skirt with buttons all the way up the front, then to top it I put my black beanie that said "whatever" on over my hair and walked down stairs. Nathan who was drinking his tea dropped it all over the floor. I didn't really think I looked good today but I guess so. I just kind of nervously laughed at Nathan. "Might want to clean that up babe." I walked over to Nathan and kissed him. "See you later. Love you." He smiled. "Love you too Lizz" I walked out the door with the girls.

(K- Kelsey, R- Neeresha, L- Lizzy N- Nina)

L- "So why are we going shopping?"

N- "because Nathan need you out of the house so he can plan for your birthday!"

K- "Nina!!"

N- "oh my god!! I'm so sorry! I'm bad with secrets!!"

R- "Lizzy. You didn't hear anything!"

L- "I know guys. Haha. It's not like I know what exactly he is doing!"

N- "thank god I didn't blow it completely.

I thought it was pretty funny Neeresha and Kelsey were pissed and Nina was scared and I was just laughing. It was hilarious! "Okay, so where are we going and what do I need to buy?" I asked them. "We have Nathan's wallet. He told up what type of outfit we need to buy you. You only need one. Don't worry honey. It's just for your birthday!" Neeresha explained to me. I nodded. "What type of outfit?" "Oh you'll see!" Kelsey said as we walked into The Macadamia. I absolutely loved The Macadamia. I could shop there all day and everyday. It's so awesome! They have the perfect clothes there! As we walked in Neeresha and Kelsey grabbed each one of my hands and Nina guided them to where the "perfect outfit" was. That's when I saw it. It was the perfect outfit. It was a spearmint colored sundress with the bottom half Lacey. They a cute sunhat, and off white crocheted toms. It was perfect. All I need is Jewelry! "Oh my gosh! This is perfect! All I need is jewelry!" I smiled. I was secretly and mentally jumping up and down. All of the girls looked at each other with nervous written all over their faces. "Umm don't get jewelry." Kelsey said. Oookkaaayy. I will just wear my stupid locket then! "Okay. Well then no jewelry! Cool... Let's go check out. We paid for everything then began our walk back home. It was awesome that we could just walk to shops because the town is literally right by our flat! So it's pretty awesome! On our way back we just chatted until we reached home. I ran upstairs and put my bag in the closet. I have to admit. I was pretty excited for tomorrow and see what Nath planned for me. Hopefully something really really sweet so I can look back on it forever. I wonder what he got from the jewelers. What is so special about my 18th birthday to plan something so big? Oh wait. It's my 18th birthday. I'm going to be an adult! I can't believe I'm going to be adult. I can't believe I can finally drink legally! I know it sounds really bad that I want to, but I mean every teenagers would want to drink and party. I can't wait to go clubbing more and party it up. I will finally be able to do things with the boys! Like go out and have fun when they do stuff! But I'm also really nervous about being 18. Anything bad can happen. You never know. All this thinking got me overwhelmed so I decided to go downstairs and see what Nathan was up to. "Nathan?" I questioned. "Yeah Lizz?" I walked down the stairs. "Where are you?" "Kitchen." Ahh. Okay. I walked into the kitchen to see nathan at the table with a notebook. He shut the notebook and on the top it read "Lizzy's 18th birthday plans. I smiled at how sweet he is. He made his own notebook on my 18th birthday. I pulled my phone put of my back pocket. "11:16" it read. "Nath. We should go to bed. It's getting late!" I got up from the chair I was sitting in and grabbed his hand. "Yeah. I'll be up in 5 minutes. Just give me a couple minutes." I nodded. I walked back up the stairs and curled up into bed. Shortly after Nathan came into bed. I rested my head on his chest and put one arm over his ribs. "Goodnight gorgeous." I smiled. "Goodnight Nathan." Tomorrow will be a good day.
