"Pony my mouth hurts!!!" I whined as I laid  down on the couch. "I would imagine. But Darry's not gonna be home for a while. You want me to get you some pills?" He asked. "Yea and a glass of water with a straw!!" I whined. Pony got it for me and I took the medicine. Then in walked two-bit.  Great, I thought. He looked at me with a worried look on his face. "O my gosh Y/N!!! Are you havein a stroke or something!!?!?" He yelled. "Two-bit she went to the dentist." My brother pony exclaimed. "Well what happened there?" Two-bit asked. "They numbed my  mouth." I mumbled. "Why?"
Two-bit questioned. "She had to have a root canal. So bad it has to be done in two parts." Pony explained. "Yikes." He said sitting down. I threw the closest pillow at him. He chuckled. "I'm goin to my room." I mumbled getting up. "Now Y/N!! Don't be like that!!!" two-bit exclaimed. "I'm not. I'm just gonna take a nap." I said. "You can sleep on the couch." Two-bit whined. "Y'all will wake me up." I whined. "No we won't come lay down here." Two-bit said patting the couch beside him. "Ok." I said. I walked over and sat down beside him. I laid down with my feet laying in his lap. I quickly fell asleep and woke up when I heard people talking.  "What happened to Y/N?" Steve asked walking through the door. "I told ya Steve she had to go to the dentist today." soda reminded him. He nodded. I secretly liked Steve and from what I could tell he felt the same. "Well she's in my spot." He said roughly. Next thing I knew there was a heavy weight on my stomach. I opened my eyes and punched his arm. Hard. "Owwww!!!" He whined. "That means get off!!" I tried to tell but was out of breath. He laughed and got up. I held the side of my face. "You alright Y/N/N?" Steve asked suddenly worried that he hurt me. "Numbness is wearing off." I mumbled standing up. He nodded still worried obviously. "What time is it?" I asked. "3:00. Why?" Soda said. "I want Darry to be home." I whined. Steve looked angry. He's never understood why I was always so close to Darry and listens to everything he said but he never really resented me for either. "I'm gonna go for a walk I guess." I said pulling my shoes on a grabbing my jacket with the switch in the pocket. "You can't go by yourself." Steve said. "Watch me." I retorted as I walked out the door. I heard steps behind me but I didn't slow my pace, that was until I felt a hand on my shoulder turning me around. "What is your deal?" Steve asked harshly. "What is my deal?!" I yelled at him. "Yea!! What's your deal?!" He yelled. "Your my deal Steve! I love you! I always have and I always will, weather you love me or not!" I yelled at him.  "Good." He said kissing me. I instantly kissed back. It made me forget about all the pain in my mouth. The rest of the world was dead to me for those few moments of pure bliss. We finally had to pull away for air. We were both smiling with our foreheads leaned against each others. We walked back to the house hand in hand smiling. No one said anything when we came back. I think they all knew what had happened and didn't say anything about it. Yea we will probably get teased later but who cares. We were both happy and that's the only thing that mattered. I could handle the Randall and I'm the Curtis that went the furthest.
