I climbed into the car wondering why I was getting in. I took a quivering breath. It is been two months since the car has even been touched. "Y/N! You want to go for a drive?" I heard my brothers voice to ask me. "Steve?" I asked looking over the seat next to me where his voice had come from. "no it's Mickey Mouse." He said then cracking a rare grin. "You got a driver just sit here all day?" Steve asked. "Steve. The car don't start anymore." I told him reluctantly. "What do you mean? She purrs like a kitten." Steve said referring to the car. I shook my head no and tears started to flood my eyes. Steve noticed. "Y/N? What's wrong?" Steve questioned. "Don't you know what happened to the car?" I asked. He looked at me funny the shook his head. "No, but I could probably figure out what happened. I can probably fix it. Do you know?" He asked. "Steve this is one thing you can't fix. There was an accident. You were in the car when it crashed Steve." I told him. He was putting the rest of the pieces together. My voice was shaking. I could feel the depression I thought I had gotten rid of creeping back upon me. Then Steve started to look around the car. At this point I was shaking. Steve was looking at the blood stained seats. His eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head. He was looking in utter terror at the leather seats he had once been so proud of and polished almost every day. "Y/N!! Y/N!! What are you doing?" Soda said running up to the car. He was out of breath like he had been looking for me all over the place. "I-I-I d-d-don't know s-s-soda." I stuttered. "Babe come on get out of there. You know what that car does to you." Soda commanded as he opened the car door. Steve looked up at me and soda real fast. "Babe? Y/N that's not your name what's going on here?" Steve yelled. Soda never heard his best friend yelling. He didn't even know he was there. It broke my heart to know that but I had to live with it. I reluctantly got out of the car and immediately started crying on his shoulder. "Shhhhhh Y/N/N it's all gonna be ok. You have me now remember." Soda told me soothingly. He kissed my forehead gently. "I miss him so much!!" I said crying even harder. "I know sweetie. We all do." Soda said. Soda looked over at the car as if he knew something was there. Like he could almost feel the presence of his best friend. He looked up like he was almost expecting Steve to be there jumping off the hood of the car to run and high five him, but he didn't. Steve wasn't there. "Did you don't have to miss me. I'll always be with you." Steve said suddenly calming down and walking over to soda and I. As Steve said that he would always be with me he faded away. I was still crying as soda ushered me back to his house so we could talk.
