Goodbye dal (part 1)

"Is there a way to do this without hurting anyone?" I asked.
"Not really doll. Besides I don't know why you always think about others getting hurt anyway," he said seeming to blow the whole thing off.
"Dallas I have my brothers that I have to think about, and the gang as a whole! I'm not gonna let one decision that I made get in the way of y'alls friendship!"
"Oh so now I'm just a decision that you made?!" Dallas yelled at me.
"Dallas I love you and you know that. But i'm not gonna let me ruin the whole gang ok?! I'm willing to break my own heart for you guys ok?!" I yelled back.
"Y/N if you don't wanna be my girl just tell me!" Dallas muttered.
"Listen, Dallas, I wanna be your girl! And so much more because... there's something that I have to tell you..." I said getting quiet by the end of the sentence.
"What is it you have to tell me? It better not be that you and Steve are together or something stupid like that!" he yelled.
"No! it's not. Dal, I love you so, soo much. And so much, in fact-that-that... I'm gonna have your child," I said.
"Your what?" he asked.
"I'm having your child," i told him again.
"No... No! NO! This CAN'T be happening! Darry is going to kill me!" Dallas yelled.
"Thats why im going to leave tulsa for a while." i told him.
"You what?!" Dallas yelled.
"I'm going on a trip. I'll be gone until I have the child. I have a friend who can't have children, but she wants one. She'll get the child," I told him. Dallas just shook his head and went quiet.
"You really think that's gonna solve all your problems?" he asked.
"Well-do you have a better idea that won't get us killed?" I asked.
"No," Dallas whispered letting his head fall down into his hands where he wasn't looking at me anymore.
"What?" I asked, just like he did.
"I said no!!" he shouted.
"That's what I thought. I'm leaving to go to Tennessee no matter what you're gonna say," I said, turning to walk away.
I walked back to my house and was almost on the verge of tears when I walked in the door.
"Hey sis what are you doing?" Darry asked when I came in.
"I have to make a phone call..." I said walking into the kitchen. He nodded and everyone who was inside walked out. I called my friend.
"Hey Y/N did you talk to dallas?" Y/F/N asked me cheerily.
"More like yelled," I told her.

"So it didn't go over good?" she asked, less happily this time. "No..."
"Well you can come stay with me. Just tell your brothers I really need you here with me." Y/F/N said.
"Thanks. You're the best!" I said into the phone.
"I know, just, call before you leave ok?" Y/F/N asked.
"Yea I'll call you. Bye." I said hanging up the phone. Y/F/N said bye and hung up her phone.
I walked outside to where the rest of the guys were. Dallas had joined them. He looked fine, like he had no emotions of the fight that we had just had, or that I was gonna have his child.
Which is a good thing I guess...
But I still just don't see how it's possible when I feel like my heart has just been ripped out and stomped on.
"Darry, I just got off the phone with Y/F/N and she needs me in Tennessee with her for a while," I told Darry.
"How long do you think you'll be there?" he asked.
"Probably a pretty long while," I told him. I knew darry understood. At least I thought he did.
"When are you leaving?" Darry asked. "I don't know. Within the the next day or so if I can. She needs me there as soon as I can get there," I told them. Darry nodded.
"What's wrong with her?" Soda asked. "Well, she's pregnant, and her husband is being drafted into the war. And her being pregnant is very risky. She's always been told she could never have kids. So she needs all the help she can get," I told him.
"How far along is she?" Johnny asked. I looked over Dallas...just out of habit I guess. "About two months, I think," i told him.
"Well, you better go pack your clothes. If you gotta leave so soon," Pony said. I could tell he was hurt for some reason, like he knew I was lying, but I wasn't sure.
But the more I looked the more they all seemed to know that I wasn't telling the whole truth. At least one of the guys can always tell if I'm lying. I guess they could now.
"Guess I better," I said turning on my heels and walking to my room. I had been in there for about 15 minutes packing clothes when I turned around to see Sodapop.
"Look Y/N, I know you're lying, now tell me what it's about." Soda said.
"I can't," I told him, reaching over to grab something. He grabbed my hand and made me look him in the eyes. "Dallas told me, now are we gonna hear it from you or are we gonna let Dallas tell the whole gang?" soda asked. His usual happy demeanor was now sad, with angry mixed in...somewhere. His eyes are usually happy and dancing, but now they're not. Now they are blazing with a fiery tone that he rarely has.
"I'm not lying about anything Soda. I'm fine. Dal is fine, everything is fine, I just have to go! I'll be back, I just don't know when. It could be anywhere from 9 months to a year. I want y'all to go on with your lives and forget that I was ever here until I get back. Then I will tell you guys everything," I told him.
"If that's how you want it..." Soda told me. "That's how I want it," I told him with finality.
"Fine. I swear I don't know what happened to her," I heard him mumble as he walked out of the room and to where the rest of the guys were. I went over to the phone and called Y/F/N.
"Hey I'm leaving tonight and driving up there. To you," I told her. "Ok. be careful. I'll see you when you get here. Love you," she said before hanging up the phone. I grabbed my bags and threw them in my car. It started as some of the gang walked over to me. Dallas and my brothers didn't but the rest did.
"We really wish that you didn't have to go," Johnny said.
"I know but I'll be back as soon as Y/F/N has the baby, ok? I gotta go. I'll miss you guys," I told them as I put the car in reverse and started the long drive to Tennessee from little old Tulsa Oklahoma.
