Chapter 3

Kayla's POV

"That was fucking awesome" I said, falling on to the sofa, Ashton, Luke, Calum and Michael fell on to the sofa next to me, "You're a great singer Kayla" Ashton said, "Thanks Ash, you guys are amazing too" I said, "Thanks" they all said.

"What's the plan for today then?" I asked, "Oh and Max and I have fallen in now" I said, "Who's Max?" Calum asked, "My old best friend" I said, "He's great, you guys would love him" I said, "Okay so what are we doing today?" Luke asked, "How about we go to our house and lie on the trampoline all day and just talk" Ashton suggested, "There's a trampoline at our house and I never even knew?" I asked laughing, he nodded, "Then its a plan, how about we get the duvets and pillows out too?" I asked, everyone nodded as we got into the car and drive towards our house.

"Will someone come help me with my duvet and blankets?" I asked, "I will" Luke said as he followed me to my room, "Sorry about the mess, I'm not a very tidy person" I said looking around at my messy room, "Hard to believe I've only lived here for two days" I said laughing, "By the looks of things you have settled in pretty well" Luke said laughing, "Yeah, I have" I said laughing along as we grabbed the few blankets and the duvet and my 4 pillows from my double bed and headed outside to the trampoline where Calum, Ashton and Michael were all cuddled together with Ashton's duvet and blankets.

"What about us?" I asked, "What about you?" Ashton asked, "Well you are all cuddled together" I said, "Luke is there" he said, "Lukey" I said laughing, he smiled and followed me to the trampoline where we lay down and covered up, we were cuddled together and it was a but awkward but we started talking and it became less and less awkward, it reminded me of being with Max, this is the kind of stuff we did.

Luke's POV

Wow she was hot. And she was cuddled into me. And we were talking about our childhood together. And no one was interrupting us, or making it awkward for us.

I really like Kayla, she's so pretty, and has a great personality and has beautiful piercings and tattoos and a great taste in music. Shes exactly my type. But she has a shady past with guys cheating on her.

This is way more than a small crush.

Kayla's POV

Luke and I were getting on really well, he was a really nice guy and wasn't trying to hit on me like a lot of guys usually do. They all think I'm easy. I didn't have a very good reputation back in London because I lost my virginity at 15 and people began calling me a slut and whore and the rest. I didn't exactly give a shit about what they called me, but the only thing that actually affected me was that guys used me because they thought I was easy.

"Awh, look at the cute couple being all couple-y" Ashton said as he videod Luke and I, "We're not a couple" I shouted, "Kayla and Luke would be cute wouldn't they" Ashton said, "ASHTON!" Luke and I shouted, he chuckled and stopped recording, "Who were you even filming that for?" I asked, "Our fans" he said, "Oh yeah, I forgot you guys are pretty well known" I said, he chuckled. "I'm getting pretty bored here and also it's getting late" Calum said, "I'm gonna head home for dinner, i'll see you guys tomorrow" Michael said, "BYE MIKEY" I shouted, "Bye Kayla" he said hugging me, "I'm heading home too, bye guys" Calum said, "BYE CAL" I shouted hugging him, "I'll see you guys tomorrow, bye" Luke said, "BYE LUKEY" I shouted jumping on his back and hugging him, "Bye Kayla" he said hugging back and leaving Ash and I on our own.

"So, you and Luke, ay?" Ashton asked, "No Ashton" I said, "He's a good kid, he wouldn't cheat on you" he said, "I know but I've only just met him Ash, plus, I-I-I just can't" I said running inside. Ashton followed me, running after me, "Kayla I never meant to hurt you or make you feel bad or whatever I done, I'm sorry" he said chasing me into my room, "You never hurt me or anything, it's just people have hurt me in my past and I don't want that to happen again" I said, "Nobody is gonna hurt you Kayla, I won't let 'em" Ashton said.

"Thank you Ash. You know I've never ever had a brother, or sister, but Max has always been my brother and now I actually have a real brother" I said, "This Max guy seems like a nice guy, have you ever thought of--" I cut him off by laughing, "He's gay Ash" I said throughout laughter, "Oh. Well now I feel stupid" he said laughing, I stopped laughing as I sat up and hugged Ashton, "Ash, Kayla, come here for a second" Anne shouted, "Coming" we both shouted back as we ran downstairs.

"We are going away for the weekend to look for venues and such for the wedding to be held, we will be gone until Monday and we're leaving just now" Anne said, "Its only Thursday" I said, "You are both grown ups and can take care of yourselves" Dad said, "I'm 17" I said, "Ashton is almost 20 though, why are you so against staying in yourself?" dad asked, "I dunno, I'm not, I just wanted to know why" I said, "Well, we'll see you guys on Monday evening" Anne said, "Oh and guys, we don't want any brothers or sister" I said before they left the house, I heard them chuckle and Ashton laugh from behind me, "I don't!" I said chuckling.

"I'm gonna invite the boys over, is that okay?" Ashton asked as I collapsed into the sofa, "Sure, how about we all sleep in the living room, shit! Our duvets are still outside" I said, "Yeah. And we can get them when the guys come over" he said as he called them, "They'll be over soon" he said, "I don't even have their numbers" I said chuckling, "Oh yeah, here" he said handing me his phone to put the boys numbers' into my phone.

I text each of them, telling them it was Kayla and that Ashton had gave me their numbers.

"Guys this is gonna be a great few days" Michael said coming in an sitting on the sofa, followed by Calum and Luke, I chuckled, "Get off your asses and come help us" I said as they reluctantly followed us to help bring the duvets and pillows inside where we arranged them in a way that everyone would be able to cover up and have a pillow.

"Dibs on not being in the middle" Michael yelled, "Oh, dibs on being in the middle, it's so warm and cosy" I said, "Well there's five of us, kayls in the middle, Michael and who else wants to go on the outside?" Ashton asked, "Me" Calum shouted, "Okay, Mikey, me, kayls, Luke, then Cal, is everyone okay with that arrangement?" Ashton asked, everyone nodded, "Can we order pizza?" I asked, "Sure" Ashton said going to phone the pizza.

"So Kayla., what's London like?" Luke asked as he sat next to me on the sofa, "Big, cold, overcrowded, loud, busy, the usual" I said chuckling, he smiled, "Where do you prefer living? Here or London?" he asked, "Well I've lived in London for 17 years, I've lived here for like 2 and a half days, I can't really choose yet" I said, he chuckled, "I bet it's here, just cause we're here" he said, I laughed, "Of course, but I do miss Max" I said, "Oh" he said looking anywhere but in my eyes.

I like Luke, he was cute, funny and a nice guy. This wasn't a crush, was it?

No. It can't be. I won't let myself have a crush on Luke. I can't. He'll hurt me like everyone else has.

But maybe, just maybe, I wanna take a risk.

Do I?

Do I wanna risk getting hurt again? For someone who probably doesn't like me?

I don't think so.

But you know he's cute.
