Chapter 24

Kayla's POV

"Ash, he broke up with me" I said falling onto Ashton's lap, "What? Why?" Ashton said, his arms going around me as he rocked me from side to side, to try and calm me down, "Be-because you're going on tour and he said it wouldn't be fair or either of us" I said, "Well he has a point there Kayla" Ashton said, "But I love him ash" I said, "I know, there's not much I can do Kayla, I wish there was but there isn't" he said, "Are you looking forward to go on tour?" I asked, "Yeah, I am so excited, we're gonna be an opening act for the biggest boyband in the world at this present moment" Ashton said, "Who would that be?" I asked, "One Direction" he said, "Strange, I wouldn't picture one direction fans being fans of music like yours" I said, "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, "I just mean like their fans are more girly little girls, and I would picture your fans being more mixed girls and boys" I said, "Well John Jacob the asshole seems to think it will be a great idea, and I ain't arguing with him" he said laughing.

"Yeah don't do that, bad mistake" I said laughing too, "Come on Kayla, it's getting late" Ashton said, I stood up, "I'm gonna get a glass of water" I said, "Where's my dad and Anne?" I asked, "In bed" he said, I nodded and went upstairs with my glass of water in my hand, everything was going great, then it wasn't, then it was again, but it's not anymore.

I guess I just had to get over myself.

"Ashton I'm gonna miss you honey" Anne said, "I'll miss you too mum" ash said hugging Anne, "I'll miss you too Alan" he said hugging my dad, "I totally wish it was me" I said chuckling, "Are you coming to the airport Kayla?" Ashton asked, "Of course" I said smiling.

Ashton and the band were leaving for a three month tour with one direction, they would be back just in time for Christmas, it's been a week since Luke broke up with me, I've been dealing with it better than I thought, but I miss him so much.

"I can't believe this is happening" Ashton said as he pulled into the airport, I helped him with his suitcases, I walked into the airport with him and waited while he and the other boys checked in, "Im gonna miss you guys, it'll be so lonely" I said, "We'll miss you too Kayla" Michael said, "I'll have to make my own food and have to go to McDonald's myself" I said laughing, Calum chuckled, "You can still call and text us Kayla, plus we'll still be putting a video up on YouTube every couple of weeks, so you'll be able to see that too" Calum said, "But it won't be the same, I am actually gonna be alone" I said sighing, "Call Kenzie" Ashton said, "I'll think about it, you guys gotta go" I said looking at my phone, I tried blinking back the years but it wasn't working well, I was gonna miss them a lot.

"Bye Kayla, I love you, don't forget me" Michael said, I smiled and hugged him, "Bye Mikey, I love you too, how could I forget my top chef?" I said smiling, "Bye cal, I love you" I said hugging him, he hugged me back, "Bye Kayla, I love you too" he said letting me go, "Bye ash, I love you so much, I couldn't ask for a better brother than you, you've helped me the past few weeks and I'm so thankful for you" I said smiling and hugging him, wiping all my tears away, "Bye Kayla, I love you too, look after my mum, I promise i'll be back for our baby sister being born" he said hugging me tightly, "Bye Luke" I said hugging him awkwardly, "Bye Kayla" he said as we let go quickly, "I love you all, please don't forget me" I said wiping my tears and walking away.

That was hard, pretending I didn't care that Luke was leaving.

And that he wasn't mine anymore.

It's been a week since they left, Anne is getting more tired and grumpy by the day, I'm getting more lonely and bored by the day and my dad is getting more fed up with us two moaning by the day.

But still, we all seem to be walking around with smiles plastered on our faces, mines, however, is totally fake, although nobody seems to notice, they're too busy in their own little worlds.

I was currently in the house alone, really bored, I had been texting Ashton, he was telling me how much he was enjoying it, but that he missed us all, he asked how his mum was doing, and how my dad was, I told him the truth about how they were getting on each others nerves but it wasn't exactly any of their faults, it was just because Anne was pregnant, and her hormones were everywhere at the moment.

I sat for ten minutes flicking through twitter, everyone had realised Luke and I had broken up, mostly because we didn't tweet silly stuff to each other anymore, or steal each others phones and tweet from their account, we didn't post mug shots of each other, so they all just took it as we broke up, which was true, but none of us confirmed or denied it, my thoughts and twitter scrolling was interrupted by an incoming call, from Mackenzie, I can't say I was happy she was calling, but I wasn't exactly angry she was calling.

"Kenzie?" I asked, "Can we meet at McDonald's Kayla? Please?" she asked, "Okay, meet me there in five minutes" I said standing up and shoving my shoes and a jumper on and walking downstairs, "Anne I'm gonna McDonald's to meet Kenzie, do you want anything brought in?" I asked, "A strawberry milkshake, and get your dad one too" she said, "Okay, bye, love you" I said grabbing Ashton's car keys and driving to McDonald's.

"Kayla! Over here" Kenzie said motioning me over to where she was sitting, I half smiled at her, "Hi" I said, "Look Kayla, I am really really sorry about calling you a slut, it was it of order, I know you're not a slut" she said, "And I don't expect us to be best friends straight away, but I really hope you forgive me 'cause I really am sorry" she said, she sounded sincere, "I forgive you kenz" I said smiling, everyone deserves a second chance, don't they? Yes.

"Ashton told me about you and Luke, how are you keeping?" she asked, "I've been better, I've also been worse" I said, "I can't believe he broke up with you though, you two were perfect together" she said, I smiled, "Yeah, I can't get over the fact he broke up with me either" I said, "And Ashton told me about your little incident with John whatever the fuck his name is, and how you told him to shove his record label up his ass" she said laughing, "He was a total asshole, he told me I wasn't prepared, I have never been so prepared for anything in my life" I said, "That day really wasn't a good day for me" I added, "I heard" she said chuckling.

"And neither was the few day after it" I said, "What happened?" she asked, "Well Ashton told me Luke kissed other girls so he would take the heat off of him, 'cause I was angry at him and the others, except Luke, so he made Luke and I argue, he made me have to believe either Luke or him, and then I ran away and met this guy Kieran, I took heroin, and I got lost in some druggy neighbourhood" I said simply, "You took heroin?" Kenzie asked shocked, "Yes, and don't say anything about turning into my mother, or fucking my life up or whatever, I've heard it all before" I said, "Wouldn't even think about it" she said smiling.

That's what I missed most about Kenzie, the fact that I could tell her everything and she wouldn't bring anything up about messing stuff up or doing the wrong thing, she wouldn't judge me, and I loved her for that.
