Chapter 9

Kayla's POV

"How is it going with Luke? Ashton told me about it yesterday but its not the same as getting the information from a girl" Mackenzie asked as we sat on my bed painting each others nails, "It's going well but I can't get too attached Kenzie, not after every other boyfriend has cheated on me, I won't let him hurt me" I stated, "I get what you mean Kayla, just don't act as though you don't give a shit about your relationship, that will make it really bad" she said, I smiled, "You know, you're only a week older than me yet you seem so much more wise since last time I saw you" I said laughing.

"Are you implying I wasn't wise before?" she said, "Yes, don't you remember all those times we got into trouble at 12 and 13 for stealing money off our mums and doing god knows what with it" I said laughing, "I believe you were a bad influence on me Kayla" she said, I laughed and nodded, "Probably" I said as she started laughing too.

"What are you doing today?" Ashton asked Kenzie and I, "I don't know, what about you?" I asked, "Well the guys and I have to do a video for YouTube today, you can come and watch if you want" he said, "Or, we go shopping?" Kenzie said, "Im down for some shopping" I said nodding, "Can I borrow clothes to wear today?" Kenzie asked laughing, I nodded as we went upstairs to get dressed, I had leant Kenzie pyjamas to wear since she didn't have any.

"Pick anything you want" I said as she rummaged through my wardrobe, I put on my white 'all time low' shirt and black skinny jeans with a leather jacket, my hair was straight and I applied make up, "When did you get your lip pierced?" Kenzie asked, "Like a year ago" I said, "Did it hurt? I was gonna get mine done, or my tongue, or nose, or maybe my tongue and nose, I don't know" she said, "I had my nose done too but I took it out 'cause it was infected and I never got it done again, my lip wasn't sore, no" I said, she chuckled, "We should get our nose's done and i'll get my lip or tongue done" she said, "You should get a tattoo" I said, "I have two" she said, "I have four" I said, "Really? I'll show you mines once you show me yours" she said, I chuckled and showed her all my tattoos, including the very silly 'cheese' tattooed on to my foot, in which she found hilarious.

She showed me her two, they were small and meaningful, one was a bunch of small birds flying away and the other one was a small one on her wrist saying 'faith', I liked them, "I want another one" Kenzie said, "Get one then" I said, "I might, I don't know yet, so we're going shopping then going to get out piercings and then what?" Kenzie said, "Um, how about we go a walk or something? We should go to your house, I haven't saw your mum in years" I said, "Sure, lets go then, we have to go by my house so I can grab money and then we'll go shopping" Kenzie said as we left and headed towards her house quickly, I took Ashton's car, with his consent of course.

"My feet are actually so sore" I said as we sat in the car, "Same, okay drive to the piercing place" Kenzie said, "I don't know where it is" I said laughing, "Oh yeah, drive straight ahead and turn left when I tell you to" she said, I nodded as I followed her instructions, and what do you know, we ended up at the piercing shop.

"Are you sure you don't have to have a parental consent?" I said, "Only if you're under 16" Kenzie said, "Oh, come on then" I said as we headed in, "What can I help you with?" a man asked, "Um, I want my nose pierced" I said, "And I want my nose and lip pierced" Kenzie said, "Alright, who wants to go first?" he asked, "I will" I said, bracing myself for the small amount of pain I was about to go through, the good thing is: I've already been through it, so I know what to expect.

"What colour of nose ring do you want?" the man asked, "Um, just silver please" I said, he nodded as he finished the piercing, I smiled as I stood up, "It's beautiful Kayla" Kenzie complimented, "Thanks, your turn" I said, she nodded and sat in the seat, "Okay I want a black lip ring and a blue nose stud" Kenzie said, "Okay" the guy said as he set to work.

"I love it, thank you so much" Kenzie gushed as she paid for her piercings, "Would you give me a tattoo?" She asked, "Um, sure" he said, "Can I get a feather with the words never give up on my back shoulder?" she asked, "Yeah, take a seat and we'll get stated" he said as she sat on the seat and he started the tattoo, I watch her flinch every so often and I watched the man and how much concentration he had while doing it, I was thinking about getting another tattoo, but what to get?

'My dad was gonna kill me' I thought to myself, oh well.

"Kayla get another tattoo, come on" Kenzie said as the guy finished up giving her the cream and everything, "Okay, fine, um, I don't know what to get though" I said, "What about the words 'one day at a time' on your wrist?" Kenzie suggested "Yeah, I want that on my wrist, and a small music note with the word 'music' underneath it" I said, "Okay, where do you want the music note?" he asked, "My hip" I said, he nodded as he done that one first, I slightly flinched when the needle began marking my hip.

"Done" the guy said, "Thanks" I said paying him, "Are you two likely to come back here?" he asked, "Probably, we'll probably be back next week or something" I said laughing, he chuckled, "Ask for Chris then, that's me" he said, "See you later" we said leaving the shop and heading to Mackenzie's house.

"Mum, look who I found" Kenzie said, "Who?" her mum asked as he came out of the kitchen, "Kayla, what are you doing here?" Maura, Kenzie's mum, asked, "I live here now, my dad is getting married to Anne Marie Irwin" I said, "Really? I'll have to go see him soon" she said, I smiled, "Okay, i'll see you tomorrow or something Kenzie, I gotta go" I said, "Bye Maura it was nice seeing you again, bye Kenzie" I said, "Bye honey, tell your dad I said hi" Maura said, I nodded, "Bye Kayla" Kenzie said as I drove home.
