Chapter 7

Luke's POV

I felt Kayla's hand grab my arm and I instantly turned around and saw her being dragged along the ground by an unknown person, "Ashton, Cal, Mikey" I said panicking as everyone turned around and started chasing the person dragging Kayla, this only caused them to speed up, which caused us to speed up.

Finally they stopped running and turned around, I noticed we were at a dead end, "Who are you?" Ashton asked, "And what do you want with my sister?" he asked, "Don't you recognise me?" the voice spoke up, it was a girls voice, not exactly what I expected, "No" I said, she pulled her hood down, I gasped.

"Luke do you know her?" Ashton asked, "That's Brenda, my ex girlfriend, remember the jealous, clingy one from last year?" I said, "Oh yeah, why the fuck did you hit my sister and try and kidnap her?" Ashton asked, "I don't want Luke dating her, otherwise worse things will happen, have her, she's scum anyway" Brenda said, letting Kayla's body go and sprinting away, I instantly ran towards Kayla.

Kayla's POV

"Kayla, Kayla, can you hear me? Come on Kayla" a voice said, "Kayla please open your eyes" another voice said, I want to open my eyes, but I can't, it as if they're glued shut, they won't open, "Please Kayla, come on, wake up" another voice said, "Kayla, please, get up" the first voice said, I felt myself being shook, I could process everything that was going on, I just couldn't open my eyes.

"Come on Kayla, open your eyes" the second voice said, I tried to open my eyes again, this time succeeding, my eyes flailed open and squinted due to the light, "Kayla" everyone cheered, "My head hurts" I moaned, "What the fuck happened?" I asked, "Luke's psycho ex girlfriend decided to hit you across the head and drag you through the Forrest" Ashton explained, "Crazy ass son of a bitch" I murmured, "She is, believe me" Luke said, "Why me?" I asked, "She some how found out you and Luke went on a date and decided if she couldn't have Luke then nobody can" Michael said, "Oh" I said.

"How long have I been here?" I asked, looking around and seeing I was in my bed, "Well since yesterday, your dad and my mum are home and tomorrow you're going out with my mum dress shopping" Ashton explained, "Luke! I'm so sorry we missed our date" I said, "It wasn't your fault Kayla, we can go out on Thursday?" Luke said, "Sure, if I don't get attacked again, if only she tried to get me from the front I would have put up a fight and it would be her lying like this and not me" I stated.

"Are you hungry?" Ashton asked, "A little, yeah" I said, "Get dressed, my mum said we are going out for a family dinner" Ashton said, "Where to?" I asked, "McDonalds" he said laughing, I chuckled, "Well get out so I can get dressed then" I said, "Oh yeah, right, Kayla we'll see you soon" Calum said, "I'll text you later" Luke said, I nodded, "Bye guys" I said as they left, "Meet us downstairs when you're dressed" Ashton said as he left.

I went to my wardrobe and picked out an outfit, I picked out black tights, a black skater skirt and a white T shirt, tucking it in and topping it off with a black leather jacket and white low converse. I tied my hair into a messy pony tail and washed my face, applying a small amount of foundation and mascara and walking downstairs to meet my dad, Anne and Ashton, "Honey are you alright?" dad asked, "Yeah dad, thanks" I said kissing his cheek, "Feeling better darling?" Anne asked, I nodded smiling as we left for McDonald's.

"How about this dress Anne?" I asked pointing at a beautiful, long white dress, with a sweetheart neckline with diamonds on the neckline and over the dress, "Its beautiful honey, I'm gonna try it on" Anne said, I nodded as she went to try it on, "Kayla, it's beautiful, come see" Anne shouted as I made my way over to the dressing room, she pulled back the curtain, "It's lovely, but I preferred the other one that you picked out" I said, "No! I prefer this one" she said, "This one is beautiful Anne, it's your choice" I said, "I think it's gonna be this one" she said as she changed back into her own clothes.

"We have to go look for a bridesmaid dress for you, your dad and I have picked the colour that it has to be, we're thinking of cherry red" Anne said as we went into a bridal store, "Can I help you?" a woman said, "Yes, we're looking for a cherry red bridesmaid dress for my step daughter" Anne said, "What size is she?" the woman asked, "I'm an 8 in England, I don't know what size I am here" I said, "That's just an 8 here honey" the woman said, "Oh, well a size 8" I said smiling, "Over there is all the size 8's, if you need any help or want to try a dress on then just give me a shout" she said in her thick Australian accent, we nodded and headed towards the rack of bridesmaid dresses.

"I like this one" I said gesturing to the cherry red strapless bridesmaid dress, "That is beautiful honey" Anne said, "Do you have any other bridesmaids?" I asked, "No, there's no one else to be a bridesmaid" Anne said, "Okay, I like this one" I said, "Okay, get changed and i'll go pay" she said, I nodded and went to change back into my jeans and t shirt.

"So honey, are you settling in well here?" Anne asked, "Yeah, why?" I asked, "I just wanted to know if you really enjoyed it" she said, "Yeah Anne, I really like it here" I said, "We should go out though and get to know each other better" she said, "Yeah definitely" I said, "So, how is things with the boys? Are you getting along?" she asked, "Yeah, we're all getting along well" I said, "How about that Luke guy, are you guys a thing yet?" she asked, I chuckled, "No Anne, we just went out on one date" I said, "Be careful darling, your dad told me what happened last time you dated someone" she said, "I know! I'm just trying to be happy, plus he hasn't even asked me out yet, I doubt he ever will" I said, "Well do you want to date him?" she asked, "I don't know honestly, he's a nice guy and all but I just, I don't know" I said, "If you wanna date him, then why don't you ask him out?" she said, "I don't ask guys out, I know it's the 21st century but I won't ask a guy out" I stated, Anne chuckled as we stopped outside the house.

"Hey honey" dad said to my Anne, "How was your day guys?" Anne asked Ashton and dad, "It was great mum, how was yours?" Ashton asked, "It was great, Kayla picked her bridesmaid dress and shoes and I picked my dress, vail, shoes and tiara" Anne said, "That's great, so we have the venue, you have everything, right? And we have the church booked and a minister, yeah? Is there anything else?" Dad asked, "Well I need to book a hairdresser for Kayla and I for the day and everything else is sorted" Anne said, "I'll go searching for a hairdresser tomorrow with you" dad said, "What are you two doing tomorrow?" dad asked, "Im going out with Luke" I said, "I actually have a date too" Ashton said, "Oooh, who with?" I asked, "Come on and i'll show you a picture of her" he said, I smiled giddily as I followed him upstairs to his room.

He go his laptop and typed her name into twitter, I saw the name, it looked familiar, I then saw her picture, it was so familiar.

This was Mackenzie, my best friend until I was 12 and she moved.
