Chapter 25

Kayla's POV

It's been a month since Kenzie and I made up, and ever since we've been inseparable, who could blame us, we had a lot of catching up to do, and we didn't really have anyone else.

Anne was ready for bursting, she was due in a month and a half.

My phone blared out its ringtone, it was Ashton, "Hey ash!" I said, "Hey Kayla, how are you? How is my mum?" he asked, "Im great, your mums fat and says she feels like she's gonna burst" I said chuckling, "Oh? Interesting, what have you been up to?" he asked, I smiled, "Hanging out with Kenzie, shopping, how about you guys? Where even are you?" I asked, "We're on our way to the airport to go to Australia for one show, you have to come to Melbourne, you and Kenzie" he said, "Are you for real?" I asked, "Yeah, we'll get you the tickets for the show, all you and Kenzie gotta do is book a hotel i'll send you the name of the one I'm staying at, and then make your way there today, we'll be there in the late afternoon" he said, "Okay, i'll call her and tell her, and then i'll tell my dad and Anne" I said, "I'll call her and tell her, just book the hotel and find a way to get there" he said, "Okay, see ya" I said hanging up and going online to book a hotel and some sort of transport.

I ended up booking the hotel Ashton and the rest are staying at, I paid it online and I checked the train times, and pre-booked a ticket.

"Dad, Kenzie and I are going to Melbourne for a concert, we'll be back the day after tomorrow, is that okay?" I asked, "Of course, what concert?" my dad asked, "One direction and 5 seconds of summer, we're only going to see the boys" I said, he smiled, "Tell them I said I miss their loudness in the house" Anne said chuckling, I smiled and went to pack a bag for the few days, Kenzie had texted me telling me to pick her up in five minutes and we would go to the train station.

"I'm so excited to see Ashton" Kenzie said, I smiled, I should be excited to see Luke, but we're not together, so I can't be excited, "Im excited to see them all" I said, she smiled and looked sympathetically at me, "Stop looking at me like that kenz, you know I hate it" I said laughing, "I've had it all my life 'cause of my fucking mother" I added, she looked away, "Sorry, I forgot you hate sympathy" she said laughing.

"This train journey is taking forever" I said, "I know, the only thing that's keeping me from getting off at the next stop is that i'll get to see ash later today" Kenzie said, "Yeah me too" I said, she chuckled as I lay my head on her shoulder, falling into a light sleep.

"Kayla get the fuck up, we're almost at our stop" Kenzie said waking me, "You could have put it nicer" I said laughing, "Do you know me?" she said laughing too, I smiled and nodded, "True" I said, she stopped laughing and it turned into a chuckle before it stopped altogether, and we arrived at Melbourne train station. (I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS POSSIBLE OR IF THERE'S A TRAIN STATION CALLED THAT CAUSE I AM NOT FROM AUSTRALIA!)

"It's almost four, Ashton said they're arriving at half past four, so we'll see them at around five, we have an hour" Kenzie said, "What do you wanna do?" she asked, "Check into the hotel then go get some food and then go look around the shops" I suggested, "Sounds great" Kenzie said as we made our way to our hotel I booked us in.

"I've booked a room online, for two nights" I said to the woman, handing her my sheets I had give her, "Name please?" she said, "Kayla Jepson" I said, "Oh yes, here you go" she said handing me the key card, "Is there only one card?" I asked, "Would you like another one?" she asked, "Yes" I said, "It's a deposit of 10$ per key, one key deposit is already included in the price, any other keys you must pay the deposit" she said, "I'll get it" I said handing the woman a ten dollar bill, "If you hand both keys back you get the 20$ back" she said as we left and headed to our room.

"ASHTON" Kenzie shouted, running and hugging him, "Mikey! Calum!" I shouted, hugging them both, "Ashton!" I shouted hugging him once Kenzie had let go of him, "I missed you guys, and Anne said she misses you guys and your loudness" I said, "We missed you too, and Anne" Michael said chuckling, "Do you guys wanna meet One direction? They're nice lads" Ashton said, "Hell yes" Kenzie said, "Yeah sure" I said as we followed Ashton.

I felt eyes burning into the side of my head and I turned around and caught Luke staring at me, he turned away as soon as I caught him and I turned back around, two can play at this game.

"Hi I'm Niall" Niall said, "Um, hi, I'm Kayla" I said, "Im Kenzie" Kenzie said, "Guys this is my step sister and my girlfriend Kayla and Kenzie, Kayla and Kenzie this is Niall, Liam, Louis, Harry and Zayn" Ashton said, "Nice to meet you all" I said, "Yeah it's nice to meet you" Kenzie said, "Are you from England?" Harry asked, "No mate, she's from here but she just has an English accent" Louis said, "Obviously she's from England" he added, "She could have moved to England when she was younger" Harry said, "Yes I'm from England, I moved here nearly a year ago, wow it's been nearly a year" I said.

"Longest year of my life" Ashton said, "Stop being a dick ash" I said laughing, he chuckled, "I'm only joking Kayla" he said, "So Kayla, you must have a boyfriend? Being as beautiful as you are" Harry commented cheekily, I looked at Luke, "No, I don't, I did, up until last month" I said coldly, glaring directly at Luke, "I sense a bit of tension here" Louis said shifting his gaze between Luke and I, "Well that would be correct" I said quietly, "I have to go and pee, i'll be back in a minute" I said walking as fast as I could towards the bathroom, I didn't really need the toilet, I just had to get out of there.

I walked back into the room where everyone was, "So, how long is there left of your tour?" I asked, trying to keep the topic off of me, "A few more weeks" Liam answered, "How long have you guys been touring?" I asked, "Since may, we've had a week break every now and then" Liam said, "Oh, okay" I said.

That must be so hard. Being away from your family for so long, I mean they're only 20/21 and they're away from their parents/siblings/friends for months at a time.

Maybe John was right. Maybe I wasn't prepared for becoming a singer.

I would never be able to be away from my family and friends for that amount of time, well I would, but it would be hard.

But then again, maybe I would be able to.
