"Half the houses are built Alpha," Peter walks up to me and wipes the sweat off his forehead," the paint is dried. We just need you to pick 5 families to live in these houses. The other 7 families will have their houses up by next week"

"Thank you Peter", I smile to him.

Talking to Peter I lost track of Sierra. Worry spreads through me and I start scanning the groups of people.

I told you that you shouldn't have let her do this. A Luna shouldn't be getting involved like this, my wolf scolds me quietly. I can tell he's protectively looking through my eyes for her as well.

I don't want to lock her down either. She's expressing that issue and.. I never controlled her before and I know it's the Alpha in me, I vent to my wolf. It feels good to be able to have someone that understands.

But it's okay you feel this way Ethan. This is your nature, she doesn't understand yet. Speaking of it, you two are waiting an awful long time to mark, my wolf brings up the sensitive subject again.

I ignore him from this point on. Sierra actually comes running into view with a big smile on her face. She has blue paint on her cheeks and Alison's hand in her hand.

"Woah what a blast", Sierra laughs as she tucks a strand of hair behind her hair," I think we got quite a lot done today"

"I think you did too", I step closer and take her head in my hand. My finger tips brushing her cheeks," you did"

She smiles and looks away as a blush covers her cheeks," we're going to grab something to eat", she motions to herself and Alison.

"Have fun", I let her go and nod to Alison.

"Thank you Alpha"

"Alpha"

"Yes Tim?"

"Lucifer is here"

I look up and blink from the brightness of the sun. A vampire awake and here in daylight? This must be serious.

"Bring him to the meeting room", I turn around and run out of the meadow. Many of my pack wave to me as I pass them. I burst into the building, I immediately see Sierra and Alison shoving their faces with tacos. Suddenly Sierra's head snaps in my direction. She must've sensed me.

"What's wrong?", I can see she didn't even take a few moments to wash the paint of her face.

"Lucifer is here"

"Lucifer? The vampire? Honey it's noon", she glances out of the window then look back to me confused.

"I'm confused too. Can you bring our Betas into the room, and get Marcus", I ask her, and selfishly leave before she can answer. I stand at the head of the long table and my heart races.

I have a bad feeling about this Ethan, my wolf sounds worried.

What's the worst that could happen with him coming here?, I question him and run my hand over my face. I sense my Beta's enter the room but I ignore them.

Declare war. There hasn't been a war with vampires and wolves in decades, my wolf sighs in defeat at his words.

"Ethan", Sierra's voice brings me back and the sight of Lucifer standing on the opposite side of the table nearly has me faint.

"Lucifer. I'm surprised to see you", I clear my throat and grip the back of the chair in front of me," what can I help you with?"

"Let's cut to the chase Ethan", he motions a few vampires to open the door. They walk in with people over their shoulder. Then drop them on the table.

NO, my wolf shouts in pain as he see's our pack that was guarding the vampires. Their dead bodies lay on my table.

"Lucifer", my throat chokes out a painful wince at my pack. I walk around the table and place my hand on their hands," how did this happen?"

Sierra yells and climbs onto the table next to a young woman. Her name was Laylia. Sierra traces over her features and sobs.

"I believe you didn't quite understand our agreement..."

"They go everyday to protect you in the day, steal blood bags from hospitals, what else more do you want from them? They risk their everyday life selflessly!", I growl deeply at the Vampire in front of me.

"Lee is dead. And you only know where that leads my fate"

In this moment I felt as if my heart had dropped right out of my chest.

"Oh my god", Sierra covers her mouth and she slides off the table," our wolves wouldn't have done that"

I smirk at her sudden protectiveness of our pack. But look serious once I realize this isn't the time for that.

"Are you sure about that Sierra?", he then motions for the Vampires to come in the room again. They reveal her torn neck. With a bite size of a shifted wolf. I feel my heart begin to race from Sierra. I lean against the table and inhale sharply.

"My Luna stands corrected. My pack was given special intrusions about what to do. They wouldn't disappoint me in such a drastic way", I let my eyes meet Lucifers. It's as if I'm staring at death it's self.

"There isn't another wolf pack in miles Ethan. You're the closest ones.. Well you and that pack I was hunting. I should kill you just for that", Lucifers teeth poke out in a threatening manner," I could wipe out your pack in seconds"

"Now-", I go to calm him down but get interrupted by the door getting thrown open.

Callista walks through the door and raises her hand to Lucifer. He starts grabbing his throat, struggling for air.

"What the hell!?", Sierra screams at all the sudden action that's happening.

"Ethan-", Callista looks to me with urgent eyes," war has begun"

Hope you had an amazing time and 2018 so far is totally rockin!

Allow me to explain why I've been gone. I simply was in a deep writers block and a deep depression. A lot has happened since August and I refused to publish complete trash. But I am back!! So I last posted in AUGUST and that's too many Monday's to make up, school has got me stressed. So... updates are back on to Mondays (I'll see how many I can publish today 😉)

HOPEFULLY I DIDN'T LOSE ANYONE WITH THE BREAK.
