Malia's POV

"Did you work things out with him?" Marissa asked.

"Wow. Didn't think you cared."

"I do, it's just–" she grabbed her stomach and groaned.

"Mar... you okay?" I walked over.

She deeply inhaled, "yeah."

"No. You're not."

"My side just hurts. It's nothing."

"Marissa Prince. I'm taking you to the hospital. Come on."

"Mal. I'm okay." her breathing was unsteady.

"You're clearly not."

"Malia. I'm fine."

"Marissa please? I don't want to see you tomorrow morning and you're lying on the ground, unconscious or something." I sighed, "I need to be assured that everything is okay. Inside and out."

"Okay."

She got up and we grabbed our stuff and headed to the hospital.

"Someone please help me. She was feeling pain in her stomach earlier."

The nurses pulled out a hospital bed and had me lay her down on it.

"We'll take it from here miss."

"That's my sister."

"Please wait in the waiting room."

"But I–"

"Please wait in the waiting room."

I sighed and turned around. I decided to call my sisters and filled them in on the situation. Told them I'd call them as soon as I got word on how Marissa's doing.

I'm stressing out over this. I mean, it could be nothing or she could be severely sick and we wouldn't have known until now. There are so many possible outcomes and I'm honestly just thinking the worse right now. Malia, stay positive. She's gonna be okay.

"Malia."

"Grayson?" I was confused. "What are you doing here?"

"Morgan told me you were here. Are you okay?"

"I'm just waiting on Marissa. Why did Morgan call you exactly? Not to sound like an ass or anything but like... why?"

"She was worried."

"But she knows I'm fine."

"Wanted to make sure you were alright. She said she had a feeling you'd be stressing out over a small situation like this. Overthinking everything."

"It's not a 'small situation' but she's also not wrong." I shrugged. "So many things can happen right now. So many outcomes. I'm just scared."

He pulled me in for a hug, "it's okay. I wasn't there for you last time, but I'm here for you now."

We walked over to the waiting area and sat down. I took the corner seat and rested my head on the window. I lifted my legs up to my chest and sat there. Without realizing it, he had me rest my legs on his lap. I looked at him and he gave me a small smile. I smiled back and looked out the window.

I'm going to confirm that I still have feelings for him. Those feelings never went away. I know that now.

Grayson's POV

She looked out the window and was slowly falling asleep. Her head looked uncomfortable so I pulled her into me and she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck.

Morgan walked into the hospital. She saw me and I put my index finger on top of my lip, signaling her to stay quiet.

"Any word on Marissa yet?" she asked softly.

"No."

"She still loves you. You know that?"

"And I still love her."

"Grayson, promise me one thing."

"Anything."

"If you two do get back together, please don't hurt her again."

"I made that mistake once. I don't plan on doing so again."

She smiled, "thank you. Can you take her home? I don't want her to end up spending the night here, I got it."

"What about her car? It can't just stay here over night."

"I thought ahead and took an Uber here. Just give me her keys and take her home."

I think Morgan's the one that tolerated me most out of all her sisters. She might be the only one that has actually forgiven me instead of holding a grudge against me. But I understand why they still hate me. What I did was wrong and I will not be able to emphasize that enough. I picked her up bridal style and walked out to the car.

"What's going on?" Malia woke up.

"I'm driving you home."

She was still a little hazy, "okay, Meg."

"It's actually Grays–"

"I still love him. I never stopped." she fell back asleep. "I miss him."

I stayed quiet the rest of the way home. Was she that tired that she's this out of it? It's like she's on anesthesia and can't control what she's saying.

"Come on. Let's get you up to your room."

Shit. I forgot she slept on the very top floor. Oh well.

I tucked her in.

"Stay." she grabbed my wrist.

"What?"

"Stay."

Megan walked in.

"You wanna take the reigns?" I whispered. "She's still hazy. I've never seen her this way before, but she's hazy."

She thought about it.

"... yeah, I got it from here."

"Let me know how both Malia and Marissa are please?"

"Yeah. Thanks for taking her home. Have a good rest of your night."

"You too." I said and left.

On my way home, I couldn't stop thinking about what she said.

"I still love him. I never stopped. I miss him."

Those three sentences kept replaying in my head. I wanted to say that I never stopped loving her either and that I miss her too, but she wouldn't have remembered. She probably isn't gonna remember saying that either. But I hope we come around to talk about our relationship eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
