~~~Jerome's P.O.V~~~
(A day later)
I smiled as I walked into my kitchen.
"Why are you smiling?" Mitch asked. I turned my head, surprised. I didn't know Mitch was there!
"I was just at the beach with a hot girl yesterday." I kept smiling.
"Name?" Mitch smiled back at me smugly.
"D-Destiny..." I stuttered a little. Mitch's smile wavered.
"Oh..." He looked away.
"Are you back together with Cassidy now?" I asked, still smirking.
"Yup!" Mitch smiled.
"I thought you had a crush on Destiny." I said softly. Mitch's expression darkened.
"I don't anymore." He said shortly, his tone hard.
"Ooookay." I raised my eyebrows.
Want to come to my house for a while?
I texted Destiny over Skype. She responded almost instantly.
I would love to! Right now?
As soon as you're ready.
Mkay, see u there
I smiled and tossed some of my clothes in my laundry, and put some others in my closet in an attempt to straighten up my room for Destiny.
I uploaded another video because I probably wouldn't have time to upload later today, and waited for Destiny.
~~~Destiny's P.O.V~~~

I walked up the steps to Jerome's house and pressed the doorbell, glancing up at the cloudy sky. Almost immediately, the door was opened, but it wasn't by Jerome. It was by Mitch.

"What are you doing here?" He asked mildly.

"What are you doing here?!" I snapped.

Mitch looked hurt. "I live here."

I glared at him. "Where's Jerome?!"

Mitch narrowed his eyes. "Are you going out with Jerome now? All boyfriend-and-girlfriend like?" He accused me.

"No! I don't even like her like that!" Jerome snapped. Mitch and I looked at Jerome, surprised. Jerome had appeared behind Mitch and now was standing next to him. I tried my best not to let heartbreak flash across my face. Then he added more warmly, "Destiny, you can come inside."

I smiled at Jerome and stepped past Mitch, "accidentally" banging into his shoulder. Mitch winced.

"And that's the story of how Jason fell into the lake." Jerome finished.

I laughed at his hilarious story.

"You know what Mitch said before?" Jerome asked suddenly.

"About us being 'all boyfriend-girlfriend like'?" I asked, embarrassed.

"Yeah," Jerome nodded. "What I said about me not liking you? That was a lie."

My breath caught in my throat.

"I actually really like you, Destiny. A lot." Jerome smiled at me. "I was hoping we could be something more than 'just friends'. I'd really like a chance to date you, and to say you're mine."

(A/N I totally didn't get that from a "how to ask a girl out" website *looks away guiltily*)

I blinked at him, then a smile spread across my face. I nodded. "Yes. Yes!"

We both were smiling now, and leaning in for a kiss.

When our lips connected, we could tell the other felt fireworks. We kissed for a couple seconds, until Jerome's door opened with a bang.

We stopped mid-kiss, and then, after a moment's hesitation, jumped apart.

I glanced over at the doorway and saw Mitch.

"What are you guys doing?!" He demanded roughly.

My mouth was too dry with shock to speak. Fortunately, Jerome saved me.

"Kissing." He stated simply.

Mitch sneered. "You do know only couples are supposed to kiss, right?!"

Jerome stared at Mitch in shock of Mitch's tone and facial expression. The two of them were best friends, so Mitch probably never looked that way and sounded that way---especially to his best friend.

I glared at Mitch, finding my voice. "We are a couple."

Mitch stiffened with shock. Then he relaxed and said smoothly, "I wish you two the best of luck."
