Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this chapter with Destiny!

(Three days later)

I carefully applied my light eyeliner. Today I was going to meet Alia's niece and her aunt, who were probably going to attend my wedding. I had to suppress a happy squeal at the thought of that. My wedding!

Even now, I couldn't believe that I was going to actually marry Mitch. It seemed like it was just yesterday that I was wondering if I would ever find someone that loved me that wouldn't die or leave me.

They were coming over for a dinner I was preparing. I was really hoping it would turn out edible. After all, I had only cooked little more than pancakes, scrambled eggs and Mac 'n' Cheese, which usually was what I ate. Especially since I was living off of piled up money. But today I decided to outdo myself and try for a better meal. Since I was going to be Mitch's wife, I wouldn't have to worry about money too much until I found myself a job. Speaking of a job, I had one in mind. But let's save that for later.

BEEP! BEEP! I sighed, quickly finishing my simple eyeliner (after all, no one wants to look like a clown), and rushed over to my microwave. I stopped the alarm on the microwave and turned the flames off on the stove, and looked around for my oven mitten.

Of course, it were nowhere to be found. I glanced at the clock. They were supposed to be here in fifteen minutes!

I opened every drawer in the kitchen (which, of course, wasn't that many), but the mitten still didn't show up. I sighed in frustration and marched to my room.

"Is everything okay?" Lily asked from her room. I jumped. I still wasn't used to having her around.

She had decided to move back into my house after the proposal.

"I'm fine. I just can't find the oven mitten," I informed my sister, walking over to her room and pushing open the door.

"Oh. I borrowed it," Lily said sheepishly. "Sorry."

She got up, burrowed into a box, and came up with my embroidered gray mitten.

I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you," I said, relieved.. "I was really starting to get anxious."

"Well, you'd better take the stew off of the stove before it gets cold," Lily told me.

"Oh God!" I cried, running into the kitchen. I had totally forgotten that food got cold. Oops.

I could hear Lily giggling as she got up and closed her door. I ignored her, still smiling a little. I put my mitten on and carefully brought the pan to the counter. I took my nicest bowl out and unloaded the stew into the bowl. Then I reached into one of my cabinets and took out a metal frame for keeping food warm. I lit a candle and placed it on the bottom part of the frame, where it's supposed to go, and lowered the stew a couple inches on top of it, then secured it.

Then the phone rang. I walked over to it and picked it up. "Hello?"

"Hi Destiny!" It was Jerome. "Is it okay for Mitch to come too?"

"Oh, Mitch?" I totally forgot about him! Oops. I'm making a terrible fiancé already. Wouldn't it make sense for the people coming to my wedding to actually meet the groom? "Yeah, of course he can come! I can't believe I forgot about him. I guess I just got caught up with cooking for the little party I'm having in a while.... Can you tell him to come over-?" Suddenly, my phone beeped, telling me someone else is calling. "Oh, can I call you back later? Sorry. Someone else is calling."
