"W-what do you mean?" I asked, stuttering, and more than a little scared.

"Oh, I mean, everyone has a lot to talk about," Mitch answered.

"You really scared me there." I smiled and sat down next to Mitch.

"First things first: will we go to PAX?" Adam asked. "Take a vote."

"No." I answered. There was only one "yes" from Alia.

When everyone stared at her, she said, "We have to tell the fans about Ty!"

"We could do that with a video," I countered.

Alia nodded.

"Will we tell the fans about Jerome?" Adam asked.

"We have a week's worth of videos that we could post on Jerome's channel," Jason said helpfully.

"Any input of Jerome's condition?" Adam asked Mitch, since Mitch was Jerome's best friend.

"He's definitely going to live, but..." Mitch swallowed. "If he wakes up and the pain is too much, then he'll have to be put in a coma."

"You can get put in a coma?" Alia asked, shocked.

"If the pain is too much, then yeah," Mitch answered, nodding. Brittany's eyes filled with tears.

"So, no telling the fans about Jerome?" Adam asked.

"Let's tell them." I decided.

Everyone nodded.

"What else do we have to decide?" Adam asked.

Brittany swallowed, then she stood up. "I have an important announcement to make."

"What is it?" Alia asked.

"I think I need to leave. Go somewhere else than here. Not talk to you guys."

"What?!" I asked, shocked.

"I'll never be able to live with myself, knowing that it was my fault Jerome was shot." Brittany looked away.

"Britt, it wasn't your fault!" Alia protested.

"I knew something was going to go wrong. And when I finally got the others to move out of the way because where we stood was visible, it was too late. I wish I had been shot instead." A couple stray tears dripped down Brittany's cheeks.

"He'll be okay!" I persisted. "And you should never say things like that to yourself," Adam added.

"Yeah, but when you wake up from a coma, you almost always lose some of your memory. Your brain freaking shuts down, for God's sake!" Brittany yelled. I flinched. Brittany's never like this! "And even if he doesn't go into a coma, every time I see him, I'll remember that I was the reason that happened! I'm sorry. I can't stay here any more. Goodbye, Alia. Goodbye, Jason. Goodbye, Adam. Goodbye, Mitch. Goodbye, Quentin. Goodbye, Ian....Goodbye, Destiny. I'll miss you."

And with that, Brittany Rane was out the door, in her car, and away. Never to come back.
