Chapter 10 ~ Blood

(Small trigger warning in this one, sorry guys)

~~~{Destiny's P.O.V}~~~

I woke up the second time gasping and crying.

"M-Mitch..." I realized, "Why are you next to me...you...y-you hate me..."

Then it hit me:

It was all a dream.

"What happened?!" Mitch asked, now wide awake. "Did anyone hurt you?! Are you okay?!"

"N-n-n-nightmare," I explained. Or at least I tried to. He hugged me as I explained to him what happened.

"Destiny, you know I would never to that to you, right?" Mitch held me at an arm's length. "Right?"

"Right..." I smiled a little, even though Mitch couldn't see me.

"Destiny, I love you. I know we were only together for a week, but I really, really, really, truly love you. I love you to the ends of the Earth, and I would chase you there if I had to."

"I know..." I smiled wider, "I would too."

"Now go to sleep, my queen," Mitch crooned, "and don't have any more nightmares. If you do, remember that I love you."

And with that, I was asleep again.

I woke the third time with a loud knocking on my door.

"Come in," I called softly, expecting it to be Adam.

The person opened the door and fumbled for the light switch.

I smiled and turned on the lamp next to me. The lamp illuminated the person---or should I say Jason...

Fortunately, Jason had a shirt and long pants on, so I didn't blush---even the tiniest bit.

"Hi Jason. What are you doing here?" I asked softly. Mitch was as flat as can be under the covers next to me, so Jason didn't notice. Mitch was also asleep. Lazy butt.

"I couldn't sleep, and it always helps me sleep at night when I'm with other people." Jason explained. "Adam snores, Jerome plays pranks on people in the morning---trust me, I know that because of the hard way---Ty snores too, Quentin hates it when other people sleep in his room or near him, and Mitch's door was locked. Do you mind if I sleep on the floor?"

"Not at all," I smiled, grateful he didn't expect to be allowed in my bed.

"Thank you," he smiled back, throwing down a pillow and some blankets I didn't realize he had.

"Good night." I turned off the light.

"Good night."

And then I sank into sleep for the third time.

"Why is Mitch here?" Jason asked, shaking me awake.

"Wh...wha..." I blinked sleepily.

"Why. Is. Mitch. In. Your. Bed." Jason hissed, glaring at me.

"Because I let him?"

"You've only been together for a week! You're supposed to wait longer than that!" He cursed and started pacing around the room.

"Wha..." Suddenly, I realized what he was talking about. "No! Mitch just couldn't fall asleep so he came here!"

"Yeah, right!" Jason spat. He proceeded to glare at me and left the room.
