~~~{Destiny's P.O.V}~~~
(A week later; Destiny's been avoiding everyone except Mitch)"I love you." I said, leaning against Mitch's shoulder and staring at Mitch's wall.
"You seem to be saying that a lot lately." He chuckled and smiled.
"That's because it's true." I responded, returning the smile.
Mitch pretended to worry. "Does that mean it wasn't true before?"
"No, I..." I started, flustered.
"That's okay, I love you too." Mitch whispered, tickling me slightly.
Just then, Jerome called, "MITCH! DESTINY! COME DOWN!"
I looked at Mitch, confused, but Mitch just shrugged it off and jogged downstairs.
When I joined Mitch downstairs, I found Jerome with a girl.
"Who's this?" I asked.
"I would like to know that too." Mitch put in.
"I'm Alia." The girl---or Alia---said confidently but not snottily. "Who are you?"
"I'm Mitch, and this is-"
"Destiny." I informed her, cutting Mitch off.
Alia's bold expression did not waver with confusion, like most other people's when they learned my name. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mitch and Destiny."
I had a strange feeling that she wanted to know if we were together but didn't want to appear rude. I said, "We're together, in case you were wondering."
She flashed a confident, happy smile and shook Mitch and I's hands.
She was confident, but not too self-confident. She was definitely not insecure. She was bold, but I got the feeling she could be cautious, too.
"Is that all you wanted from us?" I asked Jerome.
"No, it's not all. There's pizza too!" Alia smiled and ran into the kitchen.
I ran in after her and heard Mitch scoff behind me. I giggled, for some reason.
"How did you meet Jerome?" I asked Alia as she loaded a couple slices of pizza onto a plate.
"I met him at a club last night." Alia said, bringing out another plate for me and placing a piece of pizza on it.
"Thanks." I said, mildly surprised. I sat down on a sturdy wooden chair and started to slowly eat my pizza.
Alia sat down next to me as Jerome and Mitch walked in the kitchen.
"Holy shit. How did you get pizza so fast?!" Mitch asked, wide-eyed. I glanced over at Alia and saw she was finished with one of the slices of pizza on her plate.
Alia laughed. "I'm a fast eater."
Mitch looked at Jerome in amazement. "Where did you get this monstrosity?!"
Alia took that as a compliment and flashed her white teeth in a smile.
"I found her on the road." Jerome joked. Seeing Mitch's dumbfounded expression, he quickly added, "In a club, duh."
"That makes much more sense." Mitch said, relieved. "How did you guys meet at this club?"
"I was dancing, and then Alia confidently asked me to dance with her. I said yes, we traded numbers, and now we're here." Jerome explained.
"Oh."
Mitch picked up a slice of pizza with his hands and started eating it, and Jerome did the same.
