Chapter 9

Tessa's POV

Chance took me into the bathroom and cleaned my arm. He put a bandage over the scrapes, after outing on an ointment. He ran me a bath and then left so I could get in. I sat In the tub and thought about Charles. I knew it was him. I mean, who else would try to do that to me.

The next thing I remember is Chance banging on the door...

Chance-"Tessa! Are you ok! Answer me! I'm coming in!

Tessa-"wait hold on!

I grabbed my towel and hoped out of the bath.

Tessa-"come in" I said struggling to hold my towel up.

Chance-"you have been in there for almost three hours I thought you died!"

He hugged me. I'm not going to lie. I liked it. My back hurt from falling in the concrete, but I managed to hobble over to my bed. Chance left the room and I changed into comfy short shorts and a cropped white tee shirt.

Chances POV

Tessa came bouncing down the stairs as if nothing happened, grabbed a carton of ice cream and pulled me up to her room. We watched Netflix Until we both fell asleep.

In the morning I heard the door open and saw all of team 10. "Surprise! We got an earlier flight"! they all said. All the sudden someone screamed "Chessa"! Tessa woke up instantly and flew into  Erika's arms "Oh my gosh I missed you so much!" She squealed.

Erika's POV

When I saw Tessa and Chance together I knew something had happened between them.

Erika-"So, Tessa did anything happen between you and Chance?"

Tessa-"No, were just friends, I swear!"

Erika-"okay, if that's what you think."

Tessa-" Want to get Starbucks?"

Erika-"Yeah, wait. You like Starbucks..."

Tessa-" I like Starbucks"!

We both squealed and hugged, while walking out the door. The whole walk there I talked about Jake and told Tessa about our kiss. I think I really like Jake...

Tessa's POV

When we got to Starbucks I got a coffee and so did Rik. When we arrived home, the boys were all breaking things and even broke Megs printer." Ohh she's gonna be mad.." I said laughing.

Jakes POV

Today the boys and I got a bit too exited and broke megs printer. And an office chair. Knowing she would be mad we ran out and bought her a new one. That night I decided to buy a fire pit and we roasted marshmallows!

Jake-"Wow! These are so good, I feel like I'm back in OHIO!!!"

Chance and Anthony laughed while everyone else looked so confused. Back in Ohio I had a fire pit and every Friday we would roast marshmallows. Slowly, people began to head to bed, leaving just me, Chance and Tessa by the fire. Tessa yawned and rested her head on Chances shoulder. I decided to go up to bed and said goodnight.

Tessa's POV

I watched Jake go inside and I felt Chances arm wrap around me. I looked up and our eyes met. He leaned in and kissed me. It was just a small peck but I never wanted it to end. For once, I felt safe.
