Tessa's POV

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

I woke up to. The familiar sound of Chances chest rising and falling, thumping with every beat. I readjusted my position until I heard footsteps on the stairs. I tapped Chance but he didn't wake up. I heard the footsteps getting closer and kissed him. He instantly kissed back but I pulled away.

Tessa-"my step dads coming down the stairs, get on the floor and pretend to be asleep."

Chance nodded and rolled out of bed, wearing just his sweats and boxers, slipping into the sleeping bad. I heard the lock jiggle and then fumbling of keys. Seconds later the door creaked open and I shut my eyes.

Mom-"See honey, I told you Chance would leave Tessa alone. He respects her. He is a good guy. "

Step dad-"I don't know... I mean... well fine. But he just seems to old for her. Three years is a lit of time when your young and he seems like the type to go out and cheat if he finds someone willing. A player as one might say."

Laurie-"Pag! Don't think like that! "

The door shut and Chance looked at me.

Chance-"I do respect you right?!"

Tessa-"Of course. And everything that my step dad said is completely inaccurate."

Chance-"Thanks."

We git dressed and then walked up the basement steps to find breakfast neatly set out.

Tessa-"mom dad we need to talk."

Pag-"Sure. What is it?"

Tessa-"Ugh, uhhh umm. Chance you tell them!!!"

Chance-"What?! Oh so umm Tessa.."

Tessa-"IM PREGNANT!"

The room fell silent.

Pag-"How could you be so stupid! I knew this would happen Laurie! I knew Chance would take advantage of her, and now he's going to leave her! I knew it!!!!! And Tessa, I thought you respected yourself, but now I know your TRUE VALUES!!! YOU HAVE DISRESPECTED EVERYONE HERE AND GET OUT!"

He lunged towards Chance and tried to shove his but Chance stepped out of the way and grabbed me. He pulled me into the basement, grabbing our suitcases with my dad following close behind. At this point everything was a blur and I was sobbing, listing to my mom scream at my dad to stop. Chance opened the sliding door and locked it behind us. We started the car and drove without saying a word. My dad was outraged, my mom was in tears, I was a wreck and Chance was as pale as a ghost.

Chance-"I love you T, and nothing changes that."

Tessa-"I love you too! Hey can we face time your mom. I want to tell her."

Chance-"Sure"
