"Krystal, are you done?" My twin brother asks while observing my baggage on the side of my room.

Our parents decided that it will be much better if we just stay in the U.S and finish our study there and I think that's a better idea. So, I didn't argue with their plan and just pack my bag because I think leaving the country is the only thing to keep my sanity and move on easily.

Before our flight I was still hoping to see him one last time even though I know it was impossible for him to show up.

So, before I take a step inside the plane, I take a deep breath and whisper through the warm air.

"Goodbye nerd"

We will meet again and when that day come, I'll make sure you will regret leaving me...

Days turns to months and months turn to years; I finish my four years course in Harvard and I also finish studying in a Med school here in America and after a few months I take my board exam and had my professional license as a cardiologist and now I'm officially Dra. Aren Vega.

While Ice, He's running the family business in the Philippines ever since he graduated in college.

"Krystal! I've been looking for you, where did you go?" Alexander, My friend from the Med school say while he keeps catching his breath, he looks like he run a hundred miles even though his office was just next to mine.

When he already catches his breath he put his hands in his coat and act like nothing happened.

"Sorry, I was in the bathroom, Why? Is there any problem?"
After I ask him, Worry written all over his face.

"Your twin brother called me cause you're not answering his calls"

"what did he say?"

"He said, you need to go back to the Philippines"

Go back to the Philippines?

"Why would he want me to go back there?"

"Y-your father had a heart attack and he need you right now" He blurted, I think my mind went blank for a second and try processing everything he just said.

I unconsciously sat on the chair and I feel like my Anxiety Disorder is creeping to my mind and body. I feel like I'm going to breakdown any minute from now until Alexander put his arms around me and it feels good to feel his warm.

"Don't worry, everything's going to be okay just like you said Masamang damo ang daddy mo so he will not die" He said to me causing me to chuckle because his really cute when he speaks tagalog kulang na lang pumilipit ang dila nya.

"Ah, Greyigong bulol" Sabi ko sakanya kahit na alam ko na hindi naman nya naintindihan. Ngumiti naman ito saakin, akala siguro nya compliment yon.

"what does ulol means?" napa-iling nalang ako dahil mukang mali ang narinig nya.

"It means witty" natatawang sabi ko dito at muka namang naniwala sya.

"You're ulol Krystal" Naka ngiting sabi nito dahilan para matanggal ang ngiti ko at sumimangot.

Alexander Sicily is a full-blooded Greek but he grew up here in America and one thing you should know about him is that he really enjoys learning new languages at syempre dahil mabait ako tinuturuan ko sya.

"Thank you for always being here for me" Madamdaming saad ko dito.

"Nah, anything for you Krystal. By the way call back to your brother, okay? I need to go" But before he left I was surprise when he kiss me on my forehead and smile after that he go like nothing happened, it was the first time he did that to me for the past four years of our friendship And it bothers me a lot.

In the past 11 years here in America I never really had a boyfriend. Flings, maybe? But it always didn't go well because I'm too busy studying and they keep bugging me about sex. So, I stop flirting and just finish my Med School with Alexander.

I did Alexanders advice; I call Ice to ask when will I need to go.
Ringing...

[Hey] Ice answered with his bedroom voice.

"Hey, Is he alright?"

[Who?] He asks causing for me to crease my forehead.

Bakit hindi nya alam ang tinutukoy ko?

"Dad" Looks like he just realized what I mean.

[Oh... He's okay now but he still wants you to back home]

I chew my cheeks because I'm really not sure if I want to go back there, but I think I have no choice. Kahit na hindi sya naging mabuting ama in the end of the day his still my father.

"Fine, but let me finish everything here before I go back there" I said and ended the call.

Napabuntong hininga naman ako pagkatapos ko ilapag ang cellphone ko sa lamesa at saka ko hinilot ang sentido ko.

Narinig ko naman na nag ring ang cellphone ko kaya naman tinignan ko muna ang caller bago ito sinagot.

"What?" Tanong ko kay cherry na siyang namamahala sa Foundation ng pamilya namin habang nandito ako sa ibang bansa.

[Ma'am na send ko na po ang invitation para sa magaganap na Charity ball]

"Good, How about the Bachelorette auction? Napapayag mo na ba ang mga nasa list natin?"

Well, instead of rare items and antique, Ice suggested that its going to be better if we put some twist to the party that's why we end up having a Bachelorette auction.

[It's already okay Ma'am but one of the ladies wants to backout so we're finding a substitute for her]

"Good, make sure you'll find a substitute cause I want everything to be perfect, understood?" I reassured cause this will be the first time our foundation held a big event and there is no room for mistakes.

[Yes, I understand] After that I ended the call and decided to go home because my night shift is over.

I think I really need to fix everything here so I can attend my own charity ball in the Philippines, I don't want to miss such a big event.

When I was already in the parking lot, I saw Alexander waiting near my car.

Anong kailangan ng griyegong bulol na 'to?

"Hey" Bati nito saakin at saka ngumiti ng napakalaki dahilan para Makita ko ang perpekto nitong ngipin.

"What do you need?"
Suddenly, He became agitated, I smile at him trying to ignore the uneasiness crawling in my body.

I could see the hesitation in his eyes like he was debating something to himself.

"Well?" I prodded.
"Do you want to have a dinner with me? I mean—" before he finishes his sentence, I cut him off.
"Are you asking me out?" He frowned because of my question.
"Out? If that is what you call it, Yes, I'm asking you to go out with me" He said and stare at me with his pleading eyes.

I sigh before I answer "I'm sorry, I still have somethings to do. Maybe next time?"
He forced a smile but I can still see the hurt written in his blue eyes.
"Yeah, sure, no problem" After that he open my car door and let me in but before I left, I smiled at him.
"Next time, okay?" He also smiles and just nod.

When I get home to my apartment, I saw a pink box in my front door causing my eyebrows to furrowed because this is the first time, I get something like this. After I get the box I went inside my apartment.

"Oh wow, it's really heavy" I Blurted out before I put the box in the sofa.

Why would someone put a box Infront of my apartment and didn't even bother to put any name?

Maybe it's a death threat? But it's pink, why would someone send a death threat in a pink box with a cute design?

When I was about to open it, I was surprised when the box moves and a cute little cat pop out from the box.
I pick it up and stared at it.

"Sino ang amo mo? Bakit ka nya binigay sa akin?" Sabi ko dito bago natawa.
Geez, nababaliw na ata ako? But before I put the cat down, I was taken back when I saw something curved in its collar.
