Update for those who are wondering, the edit for Beyond the Last Beat of My Heart is FINISHED!!!! Yay, wish me luck. The next step is going to the publishers, again. Now onto For All Eternity. The vote is up to you guys, I personally think the beginning of this book is boring. Should I take it out and write it into the story or should I leave it?

I regained full use of my body, even though I was too weak to move much. I was able to feel pain again. All my clothes were stripped off in shreds. The stakes were out of my hands and ankles, all the holes in body were mostly closed. My cuts were healed completely. I remained lying hopelessly on the cold floor of the cave. All night long every time I would begin to lose consciousness all the men would take turns dumping ice water on to my already cold body, and then they would rape. I shivered violently through every rape and in between. The coldness was going right through to my bones. I felt as if I was naked in the Artic. When my body would begin to warm up, I would start to drift off and another bucket of ice was tossed over me.
I counted eight rapes that night. The blood was pooling beneath my legs. Every one of them managed to rip me. I kept praying for death, but once again it never came.

The news came tonight that Ethan called back his guards, ending the search for me. Any shred of hope I had was crushed. I was going to die here, or even worse, be tortured for eternity.
Bruce was irate. He thought for sure Ethan would come for me, but he gave up. He called off my torturing tonight, to plan revenge. They met all night in the center of the cave.
When a suggestion would fail, Bruce would come a kick me, hit me or throw me across the cave to release his anger. He raped me three times tonight. I spent most of the night passed out, only to be woken by a beating and knocked back out. I think every bone in my body was broken by the end.

I woke to my hands and feet blistering from an intense heat, I instinctively, tried to pull them under a blanket that was covering the rest of my body. I heard laughing and someone say, “Don’t worry honey, it’ll be over in an hour.” Then the blanket was ripped from my body.
I saw the sun for only a brief moment, for it burned my eyes, blocking out all of my vision. The little bit of blood I had left in my instantly began to boil under my skin. “We have no need for you anymore.” Someone else teased in the background. “Too bad you were such a good lay.” He finished off laughing.
My skin bubbled from the intense heat that I couldn’t withstand for another minute. The smell of burning flesh, caused me to panic. The pain was indescribable, my skin was shrinking and drying out while it burned. I knew I wouldn’t last an hour, there was no way. I started screaming for Ethan, even though I knew he wouldn’t hear me. If did hear me, he wouldn’t be able to get to me until after sunset, unless he sent the wolves. I mustered up all the voice I had left.
“Ethan! Help me! Ethan, please. I’m sorry.” I begged maybe he was choosing not to hear me.
“He can’t hear you sweetie,” I heard a man laughing in the background.
Then I heard the most beautiful voice inside my head “McKayla where are you?“ Ethan could hear me.
“It’s so hot!” I yelled out, I couldn‘t think anything else. The men around me started laughing even harder.
