I woke the next evening to McKayla yelling my name, followed by Alexis and Michael yelling dad. I quickly scanned their dreams and each one was dreaming the same thing. I began laughing. Alex was beating the shit out of me. I was the dad they were yelling for. They may be afraid of me or not trust me, but they love me. It was truly a ridiculous dream and I knew Alex had a lot to do with it, if not everything.
I reentered McKayla’s dream, hoping it would have a ripple effect towards the kids. If Alex wanted to play games, then let’s play. He obviously keeps forgetting I am much older, making me much more powerful. All of a sudden in their dreams, I was miraculously better, not a scratch on me. McKayla started to run towards me, but I made her freeze, even in her dreams I don’t want to hurt her. I circled around to a dumbfounded Alex, planning my next move while waiting for him to make one.
He lunged at me and I disappeared, reappearing behind him. He flew into a cement wall, that just so happened to emerge from the ground just in time to stop his flight. He crashed into it violently, breaking his face. But of course, it was all healed immediately. He stood up smiling maliciously at me. I caught Michael in midair lunging for Alex. I left him frozen there. It may be his dream, but this is my fight. Alex lunged again, but this time I caught him by the throat, slamming hard him into the ground. Then I picked him back up tossing him like a rag doll into another wall that appeared behind Alexis. I moved Alexis, Michael and McKayla into a cage, I needed more room and I didn’t want to take any chances of them being caught in the middle. He stood up brushing himself off, “You having fun yet?” he asked walking towards me, completely healed.
“This is an old game to me. I used to play all the time, but after a while it gets boring. I prefer reality.” I answered back slyly. He stood angrily staring at me dumbfounded again. “Too chicken to take me on in the real world or do you have to pull MY family into this?” I asked making sure he understood this was my family now. I made McKayla appear in front of me, I passionately kissed her in front of him, before wrapping my arms around Alexis and Michael’s shoulders. I stopped Alex’s jump at me without even touching him, throwing back into the darkness. I backed out of their dreams, letting them take it from there. I quickly scanned Michael and Alexis’ dreams making sure they had the dream and they did. I got rid of him for now. I returned to my desk to start planning today’s events. The three of them slept peaceful after that. I couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of Alex somewhere throwing things around a room and Andrea, being only a human, scared out her mind.
“Ethan?” McKayla whispered timidly. I glanced up from my schedule and saw McKayla and both the kids awake.
“Yes?” I smiled interested in what she wanted, not caring if it was stupid or not. I was happy to hear her voice not panicked or angry.
“Thank you.” She smiled softly and sincerely appreciative.
“Anytime baby.” And I meant it. “Can I come by you?” I didn’t want to push my luck and scare her. I wanted her stay happy.
“Please.” I felt a surge of excitement, McKayla was back.
“Alexis, Michael?” In order to go by McKayla I had to go near them. They both nodded their heads yes. I knew they couldn’t stay mad or scared too long. Especially McKayla, our love is too strong.
As much as I wanted to fly to the bed, I didn’t. I moved slowly and cautiously, making sure not to make any intimidating moves. When I reached the foot of the bed I stopped watching for any reactions, I got the reaction I wanted. McKayla sat up trying to scoot closer to me, going to the end of her chains, she began tugging on them. I enjoyed teasing her, watching her fight against her chains to get to me. I found it to be erotic. I brushed the thought out of my head and moved onto the bed between McKayla and Alexis. Exhausted, I tugged McKayla with me to the head of the bed. They got me up early and after their little dreams and all the scheduling I was ready to finally sleep in my own bed again. McKayla rested her head on my chest and snuggled closer to me. Alexis turned her back to me and pushed it into my side. I slid my arm under head and fell asleep.
