Eurasia.

North.

A city, irrelevant to the flow of this story.

-----------------

It was 5:30 am, in front of the Matkus, a giant shopping centre.

The frail chill of the night was still lingering in the air... but no one really paid it any attention...

Hael gazed into the building. At the top floor lied his target, The Infinity Quarters. A game shop opened by The Infinity corp. itself, in big shopping centers all around the world, for the sole purpose of making the release event even more exiting.

All the Quarters around the world would open at the exact same time today and in here it was at 6 am, due to the time differences, that had to be included. The reasons for such an unforeseen event was the release quest that had been revealed a while back.

The first event of "the Game" was a race.

A race of who could make it inside, within the first 1000 people. Of course there was a price too. The company had promised the winners, a random amount of extra starting points.

Those points... Hael was determinate to achieve. For the sole reason he had arrived at the doors up to 25 hours ago... Naturally he was the first in line.

Hael noticed that his feet were trembling again.

"Well theres no helping it, after all I'm at the doorsteps of heaven",

He thought with a mild chuckle, throwing a quick look behind him.

His feet stopped trembling instantly.

"Right..."

There was mass of people varying from pre schoolers to seniors including to a total of around 2000 people. A good portion of the city population this early in the morning. All of them waiting in nice lines. Most of them didn't care about the contest but for now there were only around 500 copies of the game on sale here, so there would definitely be a rush.

The excitement Hael felt, was held back greatly by the feelings of disgust that erupted when looking at the crowd.

Someone was sneezing close to him, another one telling loud horrible jokes, right behind him a guy coughed in the air without covering his mouth... Disgusting... they have no shame... human rights was a grave mistake... But then again, it wouldn't take long before he actually could make them pay. That guy was lining up to buy the game, and when inside... everyone was free meat. Most likely that wasn't the case though... There was very little revealed about the game but needless violence probably was prohibited... but leaving that aside, from what the public had seen it was amazing.

The most remarkable thing about the game, besides the whole virtual reality and a new world being born, was that while inside you were yourself. Your body height, strength, senses and agility for example were all going to start from the exact same that you had in real life until you advanced and gained more strength which inside the game would change into your own. In other words you could exceed the limits of humanity, with your own power.

The dreamlike, yet simple fact should encourage everyone to use their own abilities as the base of their character. Appearances could be modified slightly but just enough to make you unrecognizable to strangers. As said, inside the Game development was based on your base stats from reality. If you were strong in real life you would be strong in game as well. But it was also said that leveling would be a great part of the game too. Also known as grinding or training. If you wanted to become strong or stay strong you would need to work for it... Only this time, nothing but imagination was there to limit your growth!
