Hael looked around. The smoke was gone and everything was back to normal, even the viking returned, this time in high spirits. He had taken cover from the tunnel and thus survived unharmed from the battle of hatred. Though his hair was a mess now and there was something new in his eyes. The viking shouted,
"that was a sight to behold... definitely one of a kind!"
The viking continued as if mumbling to himself,
"it just may be that today I witnessed the birth of a whole bunch of new legends... But unfortunately no matter how much Id like to know more about thee, I must now ask of thee to leave, I still have other business to attend to."
"A whole bunch of legends huh?"
The vikings words left hael wondering the meaning behind them, but now that he had his weapons he was more than happy to move on... and what kind of weapons? It certainly is true that the AI knows best. Hael again looked at what he was holding. Two black swords, a bit over a meter long each, slightly curved one sided blades, perfect weight and balance. Rings at the end of the hilts. Exactly what he had fantasied about... and even better. Hael took a deep breath to conceal his exitement, gave his thanks to the blacksmith and left him watching curiously after his back. Now running towards the exit last few words were heard from behind,
"until next time", The viking said.
While making his way out hael remembered a shop he had seen earlier at the outskirts of the city. It sold various accessories pretty cheap compared to the other high end stores near the center. From there he might find sheds for the un-hatched. After all it was quite troublesome to carry two swords around in the city. Unfortunately time was really limited right now so he was forced to lift the ban on his abilities for a moment.
Hael quickly made sure no one was close and then bounced between the buildings both side of the narrow alley using windows and cracks to reach to roof level. He still had the un-hatched on his hands and was unable to use them for the climb but still he made it up to the 15 meters pretty easily. Just as a shadow through the night he now started jumping from roof to roof dodging funnels and balconies. Air felt good agains his face as he flew over the city. Once again it hit him, how much he had longed for a world like this...
The shop wasn't really far and with his abilities the trip only took about a minute. Hael jumped from the closest roof to the wall of the opposing building using it as a brake to land before the shop he was going to dash in. The building was shady and unorganized as expected, but it didn't seem to bother the clerk. She was an old lady (non player character) who welcomed the guest warmly into her shop, but after seeing the weapons at his hands she became a lot more serious. Hael walked to the old lady and asked her to get him sheaths for his swords. The old lady requested to see his swords closely and as she got permission it only took her a second and ten inches to realize that touching these swords would be really bad. She then asked hael to wait and rushed to the backroom. She came back shortly with two black sheaths. She then started talking,
"Normally these would cost around 10 000 citrus but I can see that your swords are not normal, and as a servant of this realm and its residents its my duty to protect people from danger such as this. There fore I will sell these to you for 1000 citrus and a promise that you will never let any other person touch your swords. Hael didn't say anything and just gave the lady the money. He then turned around with the intention of leaving the store but the old lady grabbed his robes.
"Promise me,"
she pled with a painful expression.
Hael gave the old lady a cold glance which caused her to let go and replied, "these swords will serve justice, I will promise you nothing more or nothing less," and walked out from the store. These swords served justice... not mercy. No matter the consequences.
