...

Hael and Carmel were gathering their gear, it was finally time to start their adventuring. The sun was already peeking above the mountain line and the mood was great inside the starting town. Apparently the "duel" from before had also been forgotten and everyone had moved on to having fun in the taverns or preparing for their own adventures.

Again hit by the mood and the brilliance of the virtual reality Hael couldn't hold it in and started grinning broadly as he walked toward the gates Carmel skipping by his side.

The day was shining from east, which led them chose the path leading north to avoid getting blinded.

As he was debating himself about the possible routes they could take, a sudden realization struck Hael:

Indeed he had a whole world to explore. A whole world! The unknown was right there in front of him, ready to be explored. They could go anywhere. Today he might help Carmel and collect some currency but soon it would be time for him to start his own journey...

...

Despite these joyful thoughts that were not necessarily wrong, little did he know about the adventure that was already well on its way...

...

The Northern path, or rather one of which, the duo chose, was more narrow than the one Hael had first landed on, but it still was wide enough for them to walk side by side.

While the Starting Town, now accurately named, was surrounded by a relatively small open area eventually the paths dove right into the woods. Yet the path these two chose this time, appeared out from them just a fast.

Only after a shot walk of 10 minutes the forest cleared from both sides and wide plains of golden wheat took its place. The view appearing right in front of them was truly one to die for.

The purple sky blinking with stars, and massive planets, shone its magical light over the slowly fluttering sea of gold...

Both Hael and Carmel stopped to admire and appreciate what they had achieved... Two of a kind, until Carmel snapped out of it and got an idea.

Hael still gazing into the sea, Carmel took a step back and closed her eyes. The atmosphere, was trying to tell her something. She felt it. The strange current in the air, that carried a message, resonating within her.

So far no one had attacked her, nothing weird, besides having received the two items at the beginning of the game, had happened. Nothing like what Hael had told her about his arrival. She had not been tested like him... While he didn't say that it was a test, Carmel was sure of it... Well she did get bullied by those trolls at the plaza, but it was Hael who had saved her there too... "Huhuhu..."

Carmel chucled a little thinking about it.

But still, getting bullied was what se had went through at school all the time... She was rich after all, and weird... But all that aside, right now... Something strange was happening... She tried to grasp it but couldn't quite get it tangled around her fingers...

"Fhuuuuuu..."

A strong wind flushed over her and she opened her eyes. Hael was sitting on the ground cross legged watching her with a puzzled expression.

"Did you feel something strange?" He asked aware of the change whithin her mood.

"Umu..." Carmel muttered, "I felt like something about this atmosphere was resonating within me... but I couldn't grasp it... that, could it be?"
