"Step. step. step..."

The air was dry... a little hard to breathe...

"Left again..."

Dark vision was good... Probably a racial ability... Let me check... Yes is correct... A piece of puzzle solved...

"..."

"Haaaahh..."

.................

Hael had walked around for quite a while. Closing in on the 1o hour mark to be exact.

He had encountered multiple small monsters, but defeating them had caused him little trouble, leaving the stroll quite unexciting.

At this point he had a pretty good view of the bottom floor. Lucky for him the map updated as he proceeded so getting lost was not an option... The fact that he had discovered an amount of dead ends was solely to get te full experience.

The floor was just as one would expect from a cave net within a mountain. It had open areas, caves and narrow pathways between each of them.

The insides of each of those caves, were where most of the battles would be fought. The lighting was also very interesting. There were completely dark parts but most of the pathways were lit by some shining stones stuck on the roof. The complex structure was very exiting.

Though getting closer Hael had not seen the path up yet... Instead he had found another gate.

This odd occurrence was called "The Chambers Of Evil", announced with a set of rusty metal letters bolted on the wall, but, it was sealed. The area around it was made of completely different stone as well.

"Would open later probably..."

Hael had thought, but since it didn't collide with his current goal, further investigations were not necessary.

The map of the area Hael had been inspecting from his soul, was indeed growing more complete as he proceeded. There were paths and caves around everywhere but the area itself... was not that large. At least it didn't  seem that way.

Sure you could fit an army within each of the caves, but after exploring for this long, the path was bound to be found... And so it did.

As the dim light at the end of his current path revealed itself, Hael finally arrived at the last cavern standing in-between them. The staircase lied right there, on the other side of the floor... Only problem being that he had also found quite a monster sitting in between him and his destination.

-This, was most likely where the first adventurers got hacked back to the graveyard.

Hael thought.

Since the monsters really were easy so far... So how on earth did it take him  so long to reach this place while those rags took only a few hours to get back out...?

"Luck... it had to be luck,"

Hael came to a conclusion and directed his attention to the guard. This beast was different from the keeper, rather than an animal this one had the form of a troll. It had short legs, an ugly face and long hands with a fat body covered in brown fur. As for weapons it had stones... Behind it, a large pile too.

"No other weapons visible. So the thing here was that you would need to dodge his stones? A test of speed? That would be interesting..."

The path to the staircase was about 80 meters long, so it would either be, defeat or be defeated in an instant kind of battle... If it truly was planning on throwing the stones...
