Jayy's POV

I woke up the next morning knowing three things; 1. I had told her how I felt, 2. She felt the same way, and 3. We had to wait a month before either of us could do anything about it.

As an afterthought, I also realized that my Hunter wet dreams probably weren't going away, what with the whole waiting thing. And that means my body was going to torture me.

'Oh joy...' I thought unenthusiastically. Granted, I 'did' understand 'why' she needed to wait. 'After all I called her a rebound.'

I sighed. "'Why' did I call her a rebound?" I begged myself under my breath, rubbing my eyes and pinching the bridge of my nose.

Hunter adjusted under me and I held my breath.

She made a soft squeak and cuddled into my neck a little more. I let my breath go and chuckled, both at her for being adorable and at myself for getting so nervous that I'd woken her.

For about an hour I laid there and let her cuddle as she slept, holding with one arm and resting the other arm under my head to support it better.

She started to make a few soft whimpering noises. "Hunter?" I asked softly. She let out a scared squeak.

"Oh God... N-No... Don't! P-Please?!"

I shook her. "Hunter? Hunter you need to wake up." My shaking became faster and my grip strengthened a bit, all involuntarily, as I started to get worried.

She made a last loud squeak and dove into my chest, hugging me as tight as she could around my back. It actually hurt a bit, but I wasn't in any danger, so I ignored that and comforted her.

"Alright, okay I'm here now." She kept crying and cuddled into me more as I rubbed her back. "Hunter, it wasn't real, I promise. It was just a dream."

"I-I know..." she stuttered through her tears.

"Then just relax. I've got you now. Nobody's gonna hurt you when I'm here. I won't let them."

"Promise?"

"A million percent babe." She shook her head. "Sorry, I'm in comfort mode. I forgot, no pet names."

"Babe's okay..." she said softly. "You call everyone that."

"Well... less than you'd think."

"You called me that from the first day we met." She laughed.

"What?"

She looked at me through her tears and smirked. It was sexy as hell. "We only met a few days ago."

I laughed too. "Oh God you're right. But how did we get so close in so little time?"

"Comforting and talking to each other. You comforted me and made me feel better about a few things I'd rather not name before and let me talk about them, even gave me your number if I needed to talk to you while you weren't here."

"And you helped me through one of the harder things I've experienced. Or, rather, you 'are' helping me. I'll admit I'm not 100% yet."

"I don't expect you to be," she said, holding me tight.

"Good thing."

She sighed. "You've got another show tomorrow."

"'We've' got a show," I corrected. She glared at me and I gave her a begging look.

She let her head drop onto my shoulder. "Oh al'right'," she said as she gave up.

"Good! Figure out which song or songs you wanna sing and then let me know so I can tell Dahvie."
