I fell down to my knees and cried there for who knows how long. But eventually Aussie found me.

"What happened?" he asked. "Hey, Jayy, c'mon." He knelt next to me and lifted me up a little to lean me on him.

"S-She's gone. Did I fuck up that badly?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean she left Aus. She left the tour. Why did she have to leave...?"

Hunter's POV

After all the years of saving all the money I ever stumbled upon and holiday money, it seemed I finally had a worthy enough use for it.

It was pretty late, I'd had to make sure all the guys had gone to bed, and I had to hurry to make it on time. My flight left in twenty minutes, according to the website. I packed every last remnant of me that I'd brought or bought since the beginning. It was the closest thing I could do to brainwashing them to lose their memories of me.

The bus driver stopped. "We're here Hunter."

"Thanks."

"It was on the way anyway. Are you sure this can't be worked out?"

"It can't."

"Then good luck."

"Thank you."

It was one overnight flight, I'd be there by one.

I was going home.

The cab turned onto the street where my swings were. I'd missed them. I got out and paid the man, then went to the swings. It occurred to me I never did get my hair cut. Too much happened, I didn't think about it.

I had just enough money left for gas for a few days, until I could get myself a job or, rather, until I drove to the edge of town and talked to a close friend of my mother who'd promised me I had a job whenever I wanted one.

My eyes widened. I'd almost made it. All my stuff was in my car now, I'd 'walked' to the mansion and drove back with all the stuff that was inside my room there too.

"Get out!" she screamed.

I did, not wanting to find out the consequences of disobedience.

"You won't make it home bitch!"

I should've run her over.

Jayy's POV

I'd tried Hunter's phone, her mother's, and the mansion's. I was at the end of my rope.

I tried Ronnie's and almost immediately she picked up. "Ronnie? It's Jayy, Hunter left last night. Can I talk to her?"

"I'm sorry Jayy, she's not here, she never came home. But if it's been this long, she must be dead or dying. I would kiss her goodbye."

"Well how do you know?"

"She hasn't come home after 'this' much time Jayy. She must be."

"But how do you 'know'?! You haven't seen her!"

"I just have a feeling. I'm her step-mother Jayy, I just know."

I growled irritably, hit the button on the screen, and slammed my phone down.

I heard a crack, but I couldn't care less.

She must've. "She didn't," I said with a death glare.
