The next day I met Peter at the coffee shop again. I sat down at the normal table we normally sat down at. A few minutes later he sits down across from me.

I weakly smiled at him.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked. He shook his head.

"A little sore, but other then that I'm okay," He said referring to what happened yesterday with the Mangler.

"Sorry that happened," I said.

"No, it's fine, I'm just glad that kid got away," Peter mumbled. "We need to stop that guy."

I looked at him with confusion.

"We?"

"Yeah, you and me, you've been helping me the entire time, so we need to stop him," Peter says. I smile. I felt useful for the first time in forever.

"Yeah, your right," I say.

"My suit system, Karen, is having a hard time finding the van I saw yesterday, something about the Mangler in general is making the system malfunction," Peter says. "That also means the tracker I planted on the van won't work."

"Huh, that's weird," I say.

"Yeah, Stark says its because it's a prototype but I don't think it's that, I think it has something to due with the blast from yesterday," Peter says.

"Okay, I meant to ask you about that, was it one of the weapons Toomes had?" I asked. Peter nodded his head.

"It looked like it," He says. I huffed.

"That's just great, isn't it?" I said, sarcastically.

---

About an hour later we left the coffee shop and were walking down the sidewalk.

"Hey, were is the party on Halloween?" I asked Peter.

"Oh, it's at someone's house. I actually don't know who invited me. Everyone in the high school got an invite, but no one knows who's party it is," Peter says. I give him a weird expression.

"Isn't that a little shady?" I ask.

"A little bit, but the entire school is going, so what could happen?" He says.

"I don't know, I'll go, but it does sound a little shady if you think about it," I say. Then, I heard screams, screams for help. Peter's head snapped in the direction of where it was coming from.

It was coming from a store, I could see people in all black in there, pointing guns at the customers, through the windows.

I look over at Peter. He looks at down at me.

"Go get them," I say before reaching up and giving him a peck on the lips. He smiles before sprinting off and into an alley, to go become Spider-Man.

I then went the opposite way, to get away from the commotion. I was just going to go back to the coffee shop.

I walked down the sidewalk, swiftly, until I walked by an alley. I stopped, looking into the alley. I saw something familiar.

It was the van. The black van. I turned my head, looking back towards where Peter was. I almost went back, to somehow get his attention and let him know the Mangler was near.

But, I didn't.

I looked back over at the alley. No one seemed to be there. I then walked into the alley, carefully. I approached the van. I took out my phone and opened the camera. I swiftly went behind the van and took a picture of the license plate.

I smiled to myself, knowing I got an amazing photo of the license plate.

"Yes," I mumbled.

I put my phone into my pocket and walked to the side window. I looked into the tinted windows. I could barely see but I could see well enough to make out what was in the van.

Weapons, ropes, duct tape. This man was insane. I could also see bottles of liquid. They didn't look like bottles of water or soda. They looked like chemicals. My eyes landed once again on the weapons. Those were definitely made by Toomes.

I then heard breathing. Hard breathing. I whipped around to come face to face with the man himself. The Mangler. His mask on. But I could see his eyes through the X's over them. He was staring at me.

I felt my eyes widen as I began to move away from him.

"You shouldn't be seeing any of this, girl," He growls. He sounded insane, like he had just came straight out of a horror movie.

"I-I uh," I said before running off. I heard yelling then felt arms wrap around my waist. I was the pulled back. I screamed. I wiggled around so I would be facing him.

"You're coming with me," He growls.

I struggles in his grip as he carries me over to the van. Before he got to the doors. I made my move.

"NOT TODAY!" I screeched before clawing his face with my nails. I, sadly, saw my nail go into his exposed eye. He dropped me and gripped his eye in pain and roared out in pain. I got up and looked at him as I backed away.

His eye was bleeding. Badly. I then sprinted away as I saw him jump into his van. I sprinted down the sidewalk in the direction of the coffee shop. I could hear his engine behind me.

I just kept sprinting. I didn't look behind me. I dodged all the people walking next to me. I then approached the coffee shop and slipped into the shop while someone was entering the shop.

I stopped and looked out the window to see the van speed past the shop. I lost him.

I breathed heavily and reached into my pocket to grab my phone. I then sat down at the same table and texted Peter.

"Hey, when you get done being Spider-Man, come back to the coffee shop, I got something important to tell you, I got information and a hell of a story."

---

About ten minutes later, Peter comes walking into the coffee shop. He smiles at me and sits down in front of me.

He sits across from me.

"Did you save the day?" I ask Peter.

"Yeah," He smiles. "What information did you get?"

I pulled up the license plate picture on my phone and slid my phone across the table to him.

"Is this?" He starts but I immediately nod my head. "How did you get this?"

"Well, after you ran off, I was coming back here and saw the van in an alley way. I didn't see him around so I went into the alley and got the picture, then I looked into the windows of his van. It's full of rope, duct tape, Toomes weapons and chemicals," I explained.

"You didn't see him?" Peter asks, still looking at the picture.

"Uh, yeah I did," I said, his head snapped up.

"What?"

"I'm fine, but he isn't," I said. He sighs in relief at the statement. "He caught me looking into his van and tried to kidnap me, but before he could get me into his van, I clawed his eye with my nails. It distracted him, it bled. It bled bad."

"I'm so glad he didn't get you," Peter says happily.

"I wasn't going to let it happen," I said. "Not again."
